She admitted that she is feeling “a little overwhelmed” currently, but is “very grateful” to be busy with a lot of exciting work projects.

Despite the challenges of constantly being in the spotlight, the singer remains committed to prioritizing her mental health as she navigates the demands of her career.

“I like to take some me-time,” she said of coping with the Hollywood spotlight. “I think it’s very important where I just don’t speak to anyone and just stick with myself.”

When asked, “What do you do when you’re having a bad mental health day? What’s something that you do for yourself?” the pop star revealed that she likes to surround herself with people she “really” trusts, which is “usually one or two people," one of whom is her younger sister, Gracie Elliot Teefey.

“If it’s something that I just want simplified, I love talking to my sister. She’s 11 and she actually is very sweet and innocent and she makes me feel very grounded,” Gomez said.

“Sometimes isolating myself when I’m not feeling great can be scary. I think all these thoughts,” she continued, per Page Six. “But if I’m around people that make me feel good, and make me feel like I can say anything, that always helps me.”

Through her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, Selena Gomez has initiated several programs to support mental health, collaborating with organizations such as the Trevor Project and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

“It’s important to make sure you time it, like, I’ll take a few days off,” Gomez shared. “And then it’s also important to try to create and follow accounts that will bring in fresh content that you actually need and, I mean, I love quotes. I’m like, ‘This is what I needed to hear today.’”
