Lisa Marie Presley name-dropped her mother, Priscilla Presley's ex-lover, actor Mike Edwards, in an emotional confession in her memoir.
The late actress accused the actor of taking sexual advantage of her when she moved to live with her mother after her father passed away.
Lisa Marie Presley and Priscilla Presley had a rocky relationship before her death last year, and it even transitioned into a nasty court battle with her daughter Riley Keough over the late celebrity's estate.
Lisa Marie Presley Claims Priscilla Presley Told Mike Edwards To Apologize
In the memoir titled "From Here To The Great Unknown," Lisa Marie accused the actor of molesting her shortly after her father died in 1977, and she moved to Los Angeles to live full-time with her mother.
The late celebrity claimed that Edwards came into her room in the middle of the night and ran his fingers up her legs and stated that he was going to teach her what was going to happen when she got older.
"He was putting his hand on my chest and saying a man's going to touch here, there, he put his hand between my legs, and he said they're going to touch you here. I think he gently kissed me and then left that night," noted Lisa Marie, who was 10-years-old at the time.
Lisa Marie added that she told her mother about Edwards' actions the next day and she rushed into her room and slammed the door. Per Page Six, Priscilla then called Lisa Marie in and told her Edwards wanted to apologize. In her words:
"Edwards was sitting on their bed looking very sullen and sulky … he said 'I'm so sorry, but in Europe, that's how they teach the kids, so that's what I was doing."
The Late Author Claimed Edwards Did Not Stop The Abuse
Priscilla's intervention reportedly did nothing to salvage the situation, as Lisa Marie noted that Edwards continued to be sexually suggestive towards her. The actress wrote in the memoir:
"Eventually it became that he would touch me and spank me, telling me not to look [at him]. I assume he was jerking off. He wouldn't be mad at me — he did it very calmly, just sitting in a chair, whacking my ass. My butt would be black, blue, orange, green."
A young Lisa Marie at the time showed her mother the bruises from the dehumanizing encounter with Edwards. She recalled her mom asking her what she did to prompt the reaction from the actor.
The late star noted that whenever Priscilla confronted Edwards for his sexual misconduct, he would claim he was drunk or that she was flirting with him.
Edwards Denied Lisa Marie's Claims
The actor, however, trashed the late celebrity’s story in the memoir and stated that they shared a father-daughter relationship during his time with her mother.
Edwards added that Lisa Marie was probably not in a stable mental state when she wrote the memoir. The actor's new statement is a sharp contrast from his story in his 1988 book "Elvis, Priscilla and Me," where he admitted to sexually craving Lisa Marie.
"Where Priscilla and I had once been inseparable, it was now Lisa and I who were together almost every day. Soon I found I was looking at my watch, waiting for Lisa’s school to let out, just as Elvis had once eagerly awaited Priscilla's return to Graceland from school each day," the actor wrote.
Edwards continued in another chapter of the book by recalling Lisa Marie's "bare knee accidentally" brushing against his hands at the dinner table.
"It sent waves of desire through me. I looked at Priscilla and thought, Can’t you see what's happening — I've fallen in love with your daughter," the author added.
The Late Celebrity Had A Secret Weight Loss Surgery Years Before Her Death
Perhaps due to her tumultuous journey through life, close friends of the late star noted that she kept to herself a lot.
Her love for keeping secrets became obvious when The Blast reported that she died due to bowel obstruction caused by adhesion that developed after a mystery bariatric surgery, which she did years ago.
The news was surprising to her friends, who claimed Lisa Marie was never overweight to the point of needing surgery, and neither did she carry them along about getting the procedure.
"When did you ever see Lisa look as if she needed bariatric surgery? She was not big at all. I don't know what kind of doctor would perform this surgery on her," declared her friend.
While the bariatric surgery was quite shocking to hear, her friends were fully aware of her other numerous beauty procedures, including Botox and skin fillers.
Lisa Marie Presley's Final Public Sighting Was On The 2022 Golden Globes Red Carpet
The star was last spotted at the award show alongside actor Austin Butler, who played her late father in his biopic "Elvis."
Lisa Marie ditched the comfort of her cozy home to show her support for the project and also drive up sales to help her out of her financial crisis which was kept under wraps at the time.
The business mogul reportedly appeared pale and exhausted on the red carpet as her friend and former Scientologist, Jefferey Augustine, shared that she dropped about 40 pounds before the big night.
Lisa Marie Presley sadly passed away in January 2023 at the age of 54 after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California.
