'Sister Wives' Janelle Brown Slammed Kody's Complaint Of Missing Out Of Daughter's Pregnancy

While Kody Brown remains adamant about his innocence in his family drama, his ex-wife Janelle Brown believes he has no one to blame but himself for the estrangement.

TLC's "Sister Wives" series has been filled with much drama between the Brown family's patriarch, his ex-wives, and his older children. Now, Kody is upset about being kept out of the loop in his daughter Madison's third pregnancy. However, Janelle called him out for failing to understand that his past behavior led to the current situation.

Kody Brown tied the knot to four women and welcomed 18 children before three of his wives walked out of his life.

Sunday, October 6 episode of the reality TV series captured Kody's displeasure over not being informed about Madison's third pregnancy with her husband, Caleb Brush. His complaints did not move Janelle, who noted he had no right to be frustrated.

"The only thing the kids are upset with is the way he has treated the family, the way he has completely ditched out. And really, Maddie doesn't have any contact with them," Janelle revealed. Her use of "them" seemingly references Kody and his only remaining wife, Robyn.

Madison, who was pregnant with her third child when the episode was filmed in 2022, allegedly ignored Kody at her brother Logan's wedding. The patriarch claimed she even kept his grandchildren away, per In Touch, saying:

"You saw the way Madison took her kids and scuttled them away from me. She never told me she's going to have a baby."

Janelle defended Madison's reaction to Kody at the wedding, doubling down on him being responsible for his estrangement from their children. She accused him of "ditching out" on their family, claiming:

"Kody has not been there since Evie was born, and Evie is three and a half. And she didn't just want him to drop in and be like, 'Oh, I'm your grandpa!' and them be like, 'What? Who is this guy?'"

However, Kody argued that he could not have a relationship with his grandchildren after Madison and her husband moved TO North Carolina. He claimed it was an "unrealistic expectation for grandparents to be in the grandchildren's lives, especially if you move your children to an entirely different coast."

Kody's issues with Madison extended beyond her third pregnancy, as he blamed her for increasing the tensions between him and Janelle. He believed his daughter, like some of his other children, was retaliating against him.

"They're purposefully leaving me out of their lives to punish me for a crime I did not commit. I am only guilty of not falling madly in love with their mothers," Kody argued, adding:

"Well, Madison actually called Janelle saying, 'Dad said he didn't love you.'"

The drama between Kody and his adult children eventually sparked a fight with Robyn. The latter shared that she "was putting pressure on Kody to work on his relationships with his kids, and it triggered him, and it upset him."

The father of 18 remained adamant about his innocence in the Brown family's rocky dynamic, blaming his estrangement from his children on his divorce. Kody separated from Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown.

"What has happened is in the divorce — in the divorces — is the ugly finger of blame has come out. 'Dad, you were never at my house,'" Kody explained, adding:

"I'm sorry, I had four wives. I was at your house, though, because the other wife was complaining that I was at your house."

He doubled down on his children being responsible for their estrangement but noted that Robyn's plea for him to fix their relationship had touched his heart. "I will work, I will reach out to, I will love those children who will allow me to do it," Kody declared.

Days before Kody's 2022 complaints about Madison's third pregnancy aired, The Blast reported that Janelle had marked her daughter's fourth baby news on her Instagram Story. She shared a picture of the fourth pregnancy announcement and captioned it "Pretty dang excited," with a heart-eyes emoji.

In the pregnancy post, Madison posed in a black dress and cradled her baby bump. "What a wild year! Looks like 2025 might be a little crazy too! Baby Brush #4 coming March 2025," she announced.
