Taylor Swift’s Reaction To Backup Dancer Kam Saunders’ Brother’s Play Against Travis Kelce

Saints defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, brother of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour dancer Kameron Saunders, made a game-changing play by tackling Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and stopping him from scoring a touchdown.

The 28-year-old followed up his impressive defense by intercepting a pass thrown by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Kameron Saunders has been on the road with Taylor Swift for the Eras Tour since March 2023.

After the play, Taylor Swift leaned over and seemingly told Chariah Gordon, fiancée of Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr., “That’s my backup dancer’s brother,” to which Gordon said, "Oh really?"

While Kameron shared the Eras Tour stage with Travis Kelce in London this past June, he fully supported his brother during Monday’s game. He even shared a snap on his Instagram Stories of himself and a Chiefs fan holding a sign that read, “Travis, I don’t know about you, but I’m here for Kam & Taylor too!”

He later reacted to his brother's interception from Mahomes, captioning a photo of the field from the stands, “PERIOD!!!!! Play of the game!! The big boy/d-lineman running the ball!!!!!!"

Just days before the game, Khalen addressed reporters, revealing which team his brother, Kameron, would be backing during Monday's matchup.

“Me, of course,” he said at the time. “He doesn’t care about the Chiefs. He cares about his brother. [Taylor is] his boss, but I’m his brother. I was here first.”

Khalen previously played alongside Kelce for the Chiefs from 2019 to 2022.

Former NFL star J.J. Watt chimed in with a humorous reaction while watching the game at home with his wife, Kealia Watt.

“Taylor Swift’s backup dancer’s brother Khalen Saunders just tackled her boyfriend Travis Kelce to stop him from scoring a touchdown. On the next play, he intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the end zone.’ Did not anticipate explaining that to Kealia when she walked down the stairs,” he joked via X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

During one of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour performances, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end made a surprise appearance that captivated fans nationwide.

Dressed in a tuxedo and top hat, Kelce joined the show during the "Tortured Poets Department" segment, helping to revive Swift so she could perform “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” At one point, he swooped in to lift her for a quick outfit change and even took a moment to powder her face and hype her up before she hit the stage.

“It’s such a a fun, playful part of the show and it was the perfect area or perfect time for me to go up there and just be a ham, have some fun, not only with her, Kam and Jan but the crowd, and try to get everybody excited for the rest of the show,” Kelce said on his podcast. “It was an absolute blast.”

Earlier this year, Khalen couldn’t contain his excitement for his brother and former teammate after Travis Kelce surprised fans during a performance at Wembley Stadium.

He shared a clip on X of Kelce’s set from The Tortured Poets Department, captioning it, “Just a couple of the Bros. That boy T-soul was made for this," he said. "@tkelce x Big Bro And @taylorswift13, let me get an audition for the next tour. #ProudBrother.”

Kelce reciprocated the love in the comments section of Kameron’s Instagram post about the concert. "Kam! The Saunders brothers were already my favorites,” he commented. “From winning super bowls with Sir Bink @khalennotkaylen to having fun bringing Tay back to life on the stage with you the other night…. and even hanging with Mama Saunders.”
