Gabby Windey Exposes 'DWTS' Tour For 'Liability' Violations

Former "The Bachelorette" star Gabby Windey is bringing attention to liability concerns within the "Dancing With the Stars" tour.

During a recent podcast appearance, Windey revealed what she considers serious violations of safety protocols, sparking conversations about the tour's safety measures, especially regarding sleeping arrangements and conditions on the tour bus.

Drawing from her own experiences, Gabby Windey has chosen to speak out, labeling her time on the tour as the "worst thing" she’s ever done.

The "Dancing With the Stars" tour is a live production that showcases some of the professional dancers and celebrity contestants from the ABC television show.

Each performance showcases the energy and choreography seen on TV, allowing fans to experience the magic of "DWTS" in person. The tour typically features a mix of past contestants and fan-favorite pros, composing a dynamic lineup that includes group routines and solo performances across various dance styles.

Traveling to theaters and arenas nationwide, the tour spans several weeks and incorporates elaborate sets, costumes, and lighting to create an immersive experience. While the tour has generally received positive reviews for its high-energy performances, recent discussions have arisen about safety and liability issues, particularly concerning the living arrangements and conditions for participants, as pointed out by former contestants like Gabby Windey.

The 33-year-old is making waves after a recent podcast appearance, where she put the Live Nation "Dancing With the Stars" tour on blast.

"I went on tour with 'Dancing With the Stars' and I will not shut the f-ck up about it because it was the worst thing I've ever done," she said. "The insides were a decrepit tour bus. There were like 12 of us, and I think there were like ten bunks. At one point, people were sleeping on the floor, which that is a liability, but what's done is done."

Following her remarks, numerous TikTok users flocked to the comments section to express their opinions.

"None of us know what it’s like…obviously, but it’s funny she spoke so highly of her time and is now taking crap about it. [Eye roll emoji.] Bad or good you got paid to do a job," one user wrote. "No job is perfect. She’s sooo cool."

"Why do people come on now that 'DWTS' is so popular again and talk about how their experience was bad?" a third expressed. "Like, own it when it happened. Your show time is up, and it shows."

It's clear that life on the road is no easy feat—even for a "Dancing With the Stars" tour, as former pro Lindsay Arnold opened up about her experiences on the "Dancing With the Stars: Live! tour," last year, recounting a harrowing incident when their "DWTS" bus was involved in a major accident.

The story is quite wild, and she detailed it during an episode of "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe."

“The scariest thing about this crash was just how when you’re in the bus, like, you kinda really don’t see anything on the road or outside of the bus,” she explained of the 2018 run that brought a serious brush with danger for Lindsay and several other pros.

“I had hit my head during one of the first bumps,” she continued, per Reality Tea. “And Sasha, being the sweetest ever, stands up to try to help me and then that’s when we ran into the back of a semi.”

Fortunately, the "DWTS" team walked away from the incident with only minor injuries—just some bumps and bruises.

While it is unclear who will be participating in the 2025 "Dancing With the Stars" tour, Live Nation has announced that the tour will be stopping in major cities such as Atlantic City, NJ, Buffalo, NY, Nashville, TN, Orlando, FL, and more.
