We're told Tyson Ranch is specifically working with leading doctors in the field of CTE research as it pertains to athletes in the NFL and MMA, and helping to provide any information they can about the benefits of CBD medication and treatment.

According to a 2018 medical journal titled, "Cannabis Therapeutics and the Future of Neurology," cannabis has been found to help "neuronal demise" after a traumatic brain injury -- including injuries that can occur in sports like football or boxing.

The journal states that "THC and CBD have been extremely helpful in treatment of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) symptoms: headache, nausea, insomnia, dizziness, agitation, substance abuse, and psychotic symptoms."

Mike Tyson's The Ranch Companies has been very successful in their foray into selling THC strains of cannabis, but they are also one of the biggest manufacturers of CBD isolate in the country.

CBD is the non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in marijuana, and in certain cases has been beneficial to patients, including anti-inflammation and pain relief, as well as medication to treat epilepsy and seizures.

Tyson recently unveiled a CBD-infused drink, called DWiiNK. Featuring 10mg of CBD in every serving, it wouldn't be crazy to see DWiink featured in the locker rooms of major sports organizations as the research on CBD benefits for athletes continues to grow.

The former Heavyweight Champ is also behind another CBD-infused product aimed at athletes, CopperGel.

CopperGel Ice is a CBD-infused topical that has delivered great results in users who are trying to treat inflammation, pain management and relief.
