Meghan Markle made a head-turning appearance at the Los Angeles Children's Hospital Gala, reprising a breathtaking red Carolina Herrera gown that had already stolen the spotlight once.

At the event, the Duchess of Sussex reflected on being a mother, noting that one wouldn't want situations that warrant them being in a hospital, but if they had to, "the best place in the world you could go would be Children's Hospital LA."

Meghan Markle was without her husband, Prince Harry, who himself has embarked on a solo "quasi-royal" tour along three continents.

The Duchess of Sussex looked incredible on Saturday as she made a surprise appearance at a charity event at the L.A. Children's Hospital.

According to the Daily Mail, Meghan re-wore a sultry red Carolina Herrera gown that had a high slit to the gala and matched it with red heels.

The former "Suits" actress first wore the elegant ensemble on a previous appearance at a 2021 gala in New York City to celebrate the military on the eve of Veterans Day in the U.S. and Armistice Day in Britain.

She was seen greeting young fans at the event and also posed for pictures with model pal Kelly McKee Zajfen. The night was a star-studded affair with performances from Demi Lovato and appearances by presenters Kaley Cuoco, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Colin Hanks.

"And I have close friends who still have their children there going through treatments either from high school, close mom friends now that are having their children," Meghan shared.

She added, "The amount of work that they do for families that could really not afford this level of care is something that I think should never be overlooked."

Elsewhere at the event, she greeted a family and joked with a young boy about him being up late.

"It's past your bedtime for sure," Meghan said as she addressed the child, who was being held by his mother.

"How old are they? Oh so really close to our kids. Three and five," she noted.

For the event, Meghan was without her husband, Prince Harry, who has embarked on solo trips to New York, London, and Lesotho over the past couple of weeks.

Earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex reaffirmed his commitment to the Sentebale Charity, which he co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006.

According to People Magazine, an insider suggested that the former working royals have entered a new phase in their public lives following their recent solo endeavors.

While Harry has been involved in several philanthropic causes, Meghan is focusing more on her entrepreneurial projects and business ventures, especially with the launch of her American Orchard Riviera brand.

"It's clear that a twin-track approach is evolving," the insider said.

A royal source also shared the same sentiment, saying, "The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track."

Sources close to the Montecito-based royal couple revealed that their individual projects would continue alongside their other joint projects.

"An entrepreneurial and enterprise focus is going to be more the Duchess's priority, and the Duke will continue to champion his not-for-profit patronages," a close source disclosed. "But there will be joint efforts around those cause-driven areas of work."

Rumors of trouble in paradise began swirling at the beginning of Harry's solo trips when he first touched down in New York for the UN General Assembly. However, the source clarified that the couple's absence from each other doesn't signify a split.

"[It's] as much a reflection on parenting priorities, in that one of them stays behind with the children," the insider told People.

They also added that it shows Harry and Meghan had to be strategic, especially in dealing with the scrutiny they've been exposed to when they make joint appearances, as Meghan is mostly accused of trying to steal the spotlight from Harry.

"This truth is, this couple is damned if they do, damned if they don't," the source shared.
