Kevin Garnett's estranged wife is gearing up for a lengthy divorce fight and she wants the NBA legend to foot the bill.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Brandi Garnett is requesting $425,000 in attorney's fees and costs as the ex-couple prepares to head to trial in their divorce.
Brandi wants Kevin to cut her a check for what she already owes her attorneys and what she will owe them going forward. She wants the money now so that her "attorneys and I can conduct discovery and prepare for the first bifurcated trial, which I understand is likely to occur in six months."
She believes Kevin has plenty of money to cover her bill and the money she currently has — half of a $12 million tax refund the couple received — is "subject to Kevin's claim that it belongs to him in its entirety."
The two sides are due in court next month.

As The Blast first reported, Brandi Garnett is asking a judge to combine the two proposed trials in their divorce — one on the validity of the prenup and another on the division of assets and support.
Brandi claims the prenup essentially stated that "almost everything would be his" and she would only receive "an initial payment of S500,000 or S1 million."
She claims Kevin was supposed to fund a joint account that was to be worth $12 million and that she would receive half if they ever part ways. She says the account had nearly nothing in it when they separated.
Brandi believes that by not funding the account, he has breached the terms of the agreement.
She also says the prenup called for her to receive no spousal support.

Last month, the former NBA star was ordered to pay Brandi $100,000 a month to cover both child and spousal support.
The order is only in effect until they hammer out a permanent deal.
Brandi filed for divorce earlier this year. She is seeking physical custody of the former couple's two kids, Kapri and Kavalli.
Kevin filed his response to her divorce filing in February, asking for joint legal and physical custody of the kids.
He also asked the court to terminate spousal support for Brandi, citing a prenup the couple signed a month before the marriage.
