Britney Spears has taken a moment to highlight something that exploded in 2020, but remains a top talking point in 2021. The 39-year-old singer, largely in the news of late for her court battles with 68-year-old dad Jamie Spears and Hulu documentary “Framing Britney Spears,” recently dedicated a post to Black Lives Matter. The blonde, posting for her 29.6 million Instagram followers, talked generational wealth as she shared a photo backing the movement, with fans now thanking the star for “speaking up.” See why below.
Scroll for the photo, one that comes as Britney makes fresh headlines, both for her now-viral tiny deli sandwich and for showing off her summer body as she talked fitness goals. Posting for a total 500,000+ likes, the Grammy winner shared a shot of a Black man seated on the back row of a bus and holding up a sign.
“White people have generational wealth. Black people have generational trauma. #WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME,” the sign read. See the photo below.
Spears took to her caption, writing: “Just sayin’ !!!! #BlackLivesMatter #BLM.” Quick to leave a like was 30-year-old sister and “Sweet Magnolias” actress Jamie Lynn Spears, with fans flooding the comment section.
“Thank you for speaking up,” a popular reply reads, with one fan responding: “SPEAK ON THAT.” Fashion designer Vera Wang sent three clapping emoji, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing as some fans shaded the singer’s wealth. “My favorite it’s millionaires speaking on oppression,” a user replied with a cry-face emoji. More photos after the shot.
Britney is fresh from making much bigger headlines by parading around the balconies and terraces of her L.A. mansion in two bikinis and high heels, talking food, fitness, and workouts, and even suggesting she feels inadequate next to personal trainer boyfriend Sam Asghari, 27.
“In the past two weeks I’ve said that’s it … I have got to get in shape considering my boyfriend’s body is hotter than hot ??? !!!! I was like SH-T where the hell am I supposed to start ??? ..,” she began. See the video below.
The mom of two, flaunting rock-hard abs, but admitting her plans to eat “clean” don’t always pan out, added:
“So I run a lot and try to eat clean and be mindful with my food unless I cheat, like last night when I ate a container of peanuts ?????♀️??♀️??♀️ !!!! And then it hit me … I might look better but I felt too vulnerable in my skin being this small !!!! I didn’t like it so I started boxing so now I feel stronger too.”
