"The View" co-host Ana Navarro has criticized Melania Trump over her defense of abortion rights in her new memoir.

Navarro suggested that the former First Lady's admission is a ploy to help her husband, Donald Trump, and the Republican party bridge the "gender gap with women," asking them not to "fall for it" as she also slammed Trump.

Ana Navarro previously slammed Melania Trump for her "tacky" move following her new business venture.

Melania's forthcoming memoir continues to generate headlines for her eyebrow-raising defense of abortion rights.

According to The Guardian, the former first lady noted that she has "carried this belief" for her "entire adult life," which comes in stark contrast to views on abortion held by her husband, Donald Trump, who is the current Republican nominee.

"It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government," Melania wrote in her book.

She added, "Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body? A woman's fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes."

Ana Navarro Questions The Former First Lady's 'Strongly Pro-Choice' Stance

Navarro took to social media to speak out against Melania's memoir, urging the public to be skeptical about it.

After hearing what the former Slovenian-born model said about abortion, the talk show co-host wrote on social media: "Well, well, well. Melania coming out as strongly pro-choice a month before the Election, was not on my bingo card."

"JD Vance tried to soften his stance and come out as all compassionate during debate. And now this. Folks, don't fall for it," she continued. "They know they have a gender gap with women and are trying to have it both ways. Actions speak louder than words. We already know what Trump did. He appointed 3 uber-conservative Justices that overturned Roe. Women have suffered, even died as a result."

Navarro added, "Trump has shown us he will capitulate to the Right. He showed us who he is the first time. Believe him!"

Several individuals commented on her post to share their sentiments, with a number of them seemingly agreeing with the talk show host.

A person wrote, "It's a trick to get undecideds to vote for him. [Many] people think he isn't anti-women after all. Don't fall for it people."

"Turn a blind eye to her meaningless comments. She's just doing damage control," a second person noted, while another added, "She doesn't care… just trying to fool people into voting for her husband so she can stay relevant and continue to grift."

"She got paid $237,000 to show up to one of her husband's rallies, so she's probably been paid to say this as well," someone else penned.

Ana Navarro's 'The View' Co-Hosts Also Weighed In On The Topic

Although Navarro wasn't present for Thursday's episode of "The View," her co-hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, weighed in on Melania's pro-abortion stance.

Goldberg, who is often critical of Melania's husband, said, "She wrote this book probably a year ago, so this isn't coming out of what's going on right now and all this crazy stuff they've been saying."

Behar then pointed out, "Sixty-two percent of Americans oppose overthrowing Roe v. Wade, the Republican party knows this. I think they put her up to this. I think it's a big scam."

She continued, "They put her out there as the face of the American population that wants to have abortion rights and they figure, well maybe she'll talk - the only problem is she doesn't talk to him... probably."

"But besides that, I think that this is just a big lie. It's another lie from that area. Don't buy it," Behar added.

Navarro previously mocked Melania on her Instagram account after she launched a $600 gold vermeil necklace.

Alongside a video of Melania's ornament on display, Navarro wrote, "Oh my God. Like really. Oh my God."

"Add a $600 necklace to the $90 Christmas ornaments and the memoir book and the piece-of-sh-t NFTs. Oh, and the $250k to speak to gay Republicans," she continued. "Basically, only time Melania shows her face is to extract money from poor suckers. Seriously, how can people supposed so rich, be so miserly? What's she gonna sell next... nipple-rings?"

Navarro then joked, "This woman should be the First Lady of Home Shopping Network," before adding the hashtag "tacky."
