'Teen Mom:' The OG Cast Then & Now

“Teen Mom” is currently running its fifth season and it has been renamed “Teen Mom OG.” The show centres on the life decisions that young moms make to keep their survival intact.

Over the years, fans have watched the cast of this show grow into beautiful and elegant women, who would do everything and anything to protect their children.

The original cast of the show include Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood. What are these women into now?

Farrah Abraham joined the show during its first episode, which premiered on December 8, 2009.

Abraham was always outspoken and never agreed to be backed into a corner, especially by her parents. Fans watched her grow on the show, into a loving and incredible mom to her daughter, Sophia Laurent Abraham.

Since she packed up and left the show and her city, Texas behind, the TV personality landed a job with Penthouse Magazine, as a feminist critic.

The company hired Abraham to learn more about the average American woman and how to interact with her. 

Amber Portwood was also cast on the show in the first season, and fans were privy to the ongoing drama between her and Matt Baier. 

After several drama-filled seasons in the show, Portwood decided to leave the show, in a bid to find greener pastures. Although the chaotic relationship with Baier went on for a while, the “Teen Mom OG” star broke it off.

Now, Portwood is faced with a domestic battery assault against her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, who claimed that she attacked him while he was holding their son, James. 

Catelynn Lowell was a loved and adored cast on the show, and seeing her say goodbye, took its toll on viewers all over the world.

For a while, fans watched the TV personality go through a long struggle with postpartum depression. After a while, it was evident that Lowell was battling with her mental health.

She soon decided to check into a rehab facility, and according to her, that was one of the best decisions she ever made in her life.

Now, Lowell is happily married to Tyler Baltierra, and in 2019, the duo welcomed a daughter named Vaeda Luma. 

Maci Bookout, who’s now a mom to three beautiful children, has plans for more kids in the future with her husband, Taylor McKinney.

She explained during an interview that they’ve always talked about adopting or fostering kids, but they do not intend to have any more biological kids. 

The duo got married in 2017, after McKinney proposed in a romantic beach setting. For now, Bookout is focused on raising her gorgeous kids and leading a stable and healthy relationship with her husband.
