Tim Walz Thanked Taylor Swift For Her Endorsement
Following the Presidential debate between Harris and Trump, Swift publicly endorsed the Harris and Walz ticket in an Instagram post.
The "Fortnight" songstress encouraged her fans and followers to "research" the candidates before casting their votes. Swift added, "As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for the country."
Following the superstar's endorsement of their campaign, Governor Walz thanked her for offering her support.
In an interview with Rachel Maddow, Governor Walz said, "I am incredibly grateful, first of all to Taylor Swift. I say that as a cat owner- a fellow cat owner. That was eloquent and that was clear. And that's the type of courage we need in America, to stand up," he said, as previously reported by The Blast.
The songwriter also praised Governor Walz for his support for the LGBTQ+ community in her endorsement post.
"I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades," Swift also wrote in her post.
Governor Walz Gives Subtle Nod To Swift's Friendship Bracelets
The father-of-two took time to incorporate a Swift-related reference into his debate outfit last night.
Governor Walz donned a friendship bracelet, which was thought to be a reference to the friendship bracelets that have become synonymous symbols of Swift's 'Eras Tour' and a representation of the Swiftie fandom.
According to TMZ, the Vice President and Minnesota Governor released friendship bracelets on their campaign website following the "I Bet You Think About Me" singer's campaign endorsement.
The publication adds it is unclear whether the Vice Presidential candidate's bracelet was from their collection.

The current Vice President and presidential hopeful is also aware of the "Blank Space" songstress' support and is proud of the superstar's decision to go public with her endorsement.
