Rich Homie Quan's Cause Of Death Revealed, Combined Effects Of Several Drugs

Almost a month after the passing of rapper Rich Homie Quan,investigations on the cause of his death have been concluded.

The rapper's death, which occurred on Thursday, Sept. 5, was determined to be caused by drugs, including fentanyl, and ruled an accident.

Rich Homie Quan was found dead on his living room couch at his Atlanta home by his girlfriend, who returned from a school run.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner in Georgia revealed that he died from a dangerous mix of several different drugs, including the notorious fentanyl.

Other drugs in the mix, as confirmed by the examiner, included alprazolam, codeine, and promethazine, as the medical personnel ruled it an accident.

The examiner confirmed that the rapper showed no signs of trauma when his body was found dead and thoroughly examined, which meant no physical contact was involved in his death.

According to TMZ, Quan's toxicology report also noted that he had THC in his system, but cannabis was not indicated as a contributing factor to his death.

Upon her return from dropping off their son at school, The Blast shared that Quan's girlfriend discovered he was unresponsive and immediately called for medical assistance.

The audio recording featured a woman in panic informing the dispatcher that the rapper was not breathing and had no pulse.

She explained that Quan had fallen asleep on the couch the night before and never made it to the bed. She then covered him with a blanket the next morning as she and their son got ready for school.

"I don't feel a heartbeat. I don't see him breathing," the rapper's girlfriend stated to the dispatcher, adding that he was foaming at the mouth when she turned him over to face up.

She offered to put Quan's father on the line but was encouraged to focus on helping her boyfriend, who she claimed was not "waking up."

While the Fulton Medical Examiner disclosed after the confirmation of his death that an autopsy would be conducted later, Quan's colleague and friend took to X to claim that the rapper overdosed.

In his words: "JUST GOT WORD @RichHomieQuan JUST OD!! JUST TALKED TO QUAN THE OTHER DAY!." He added that he recently spoke to the late rapper and will never forget his smile, the way he talked, and his music.

"WE GOT SOME GOOD A-S MEMORIES TOGETHER N THAT GO ALWAYS BRING A SMILE TO MY FACE #restupquan WE WAS COOKING UP SOME SH-T TOO."

Quan was a force in the hip-hop community during his lifetime, and as soon as his death was announced, the floodgates of tributes were opened from his colleagues and friends in the music industry.

Singer Jacquees wrote on his X account, "Rest in Peace, my brother Rich Homie Quan. I love you for life." In a follow-up post, he referred to Quan as a "legend."

Rapper 2 Chainz took to Instagram to mourn Quan, who he described as his "lil brother," as he shared that they recently spoke about shooting a music video. He added, "Special prayer for you and your family and for anyone dealing with something. My condolences, bru."

Rapper Quavo also mourned the rapper by posting an image of himself with Quan and other rappers, saying, "May God be with us. Never saw this being part of our journey."

Nicki Minaj also paid tribute to the rapper in one of her tour shows by performing a song they both featured in.

In her emotional writeup on her Instagram story, the rapper's partner who found him dead recalled the traumatizing experience. The Blast reported that she noted that the moment will forever be stuck in her head.

She encouraged the public to respect the family's privacy, adding that she has nothing to prove to anyone because her love for Quan was "ALWAYS shown."

The mom-of-one admitted painful that their "house is no longer a home" and described his passing as a complete nightmare, adding, "We never could let go, but you didn't have to leave me like this."
