Simone Biles Shares BTS Snaps Of Sushi Date With Jordan Chiles

Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles are taking a well-deserved break from the "Gold Over America" tour, enjoying a relaxing night out as they indulge in sushi and celebrate a friend's birthday.

The duo, who began their friendship in 2018 as roommates during the world championship team trials, where they were both competing for a spot on the team, shared some BTS snaps of their fun night out.

Simone Biles's candid posts provided a sneak peek into her fun night out with Jordan Chiles and a group of friends.

Before heading to her friend's birthday celebration, Simone Biles shared a mirror selfie showcasing her stylish outfit for the evening.

She wore a brown tank adorned with silver rhinestones, paired with a chic black blazer. Biles held up her phone, which featured a personalized case with her name, as she flashed a charming smirk.

In a later post on her Instagram Stories, Simone Biles captured another mirror selfie alongside her close friend and fellow Olympian Jordan Chiles.

Chiles looked stunning in a gold two-piece blazer and dress pants set, playfully holding up a peace sign as they posed together.

The two became close friends after Biles invited Chiles to train at her gym, shortly after Chiles expressed "didn't think the sport wanted [her] anymore."

“I guess this sport is coming to an end for me because things just aren’t working out for me at all whatsoever,” Chiles recalled, per The New York Times. “I just wanted to finish high school and go off to college. But then I had a talk with Simone," who took Chiles under her wing.

The two have since formed a bond that they describe as close as sisterhood.

Simone Biles later treated her fans to a sneak peek of her dinner, showcasing a delectable platter of sushi beautifully arranged with a side of wasabi.

The Olympian is no stranger to Japanese cuisine, as her first meal in Houston after the Olympics was at a hibachi-Cajun restaurant called Stick Talk. Following her impressive performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she earned four medals—three gold and one silver—Simone Biles returned to Houston with a hearty appetite, making the increasingly popular eatery one of her first stops.

“First meal, STICK TALK never misses,” Biles said on Threads, adding a heart eyes emoji.

"We were really happy to see Simone and Jonathan [Owens] chose to stop at Stick Talk once they were back in Texas,” Junior Martin, co-founder of ALIFE Hospitality, which operates Stick Talk, said. “Our whole team was excited to see the post, texts started to come in and it of course makes us all happy to know they love our food.”

Jordan Chiles and Simone Biles have developed a deep friendship that has blossomed through their shared experiences as elite gymnasts.

Their bond was forged during the 2018 world championship team trials, where they first became roommates, and has only grown stronger as they've supported each other through the pressures of competition and the triumphs of their careers.

To alleviate the pressures of the sport, Biles would host dinner parties and plan trips to beach resorts, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere for the gymnasts.

They often shared laughter and jokes during practice and competitions, which only helped them form a stronger bond. Chiles noted that the Landis (the coaches in Simone Biles' and Jordan Chiles' gym) are particularly attentive to their gymnasts, valuing their opinions and ensuring they feel heard without facing reprimands for voicing their thoughts.

“I discovered that gymnastics doesn’t always have to be about strictness and being so hard on yourself and having so much doubt,” Chiles said. “I actually realized this when I saw Simone compete. She looks like she’s having fun out there, laughing and giggling, and doesn’t look stressed or tired. I was like, ‘You know, I’m going to try that one of these days and see how it turns out.’”

Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles are currently on their "Gold Over America" tour alongside fellow gymnasts Jade Carey, Hezley Rivera, Paul Juda, and Frederick Richard.
