Halle Bailey Sings For Kamala Harris In 'Pinch Me' Moment

Halle Bailey took the stage at Kamala Harris' fundraiser in Los Angeles on Sunday, leaving fans in awe.
This event marked the first campaign fundraiser led by Harris since she was named the Democratic nominee. Proceeds from the evening benefitted the Harris Victory Fund, which supports Harris’ campaign as well as the Democratic National Committee and state parties.
By performing at Kamala Harris’ event, it’s clear that Halle Bailey is expressing her strong support for the Democratic nominee ahead of the upcoming election.

In a video clip shared to her social media account, Bailey showed off her incredible vocals as she sang her song, "Angel."
“Some might hate, and they wait on your fall, they don’t know there’s a grace for it all," she captioned the post, which is a lyric from her song.
"omg omg pinch me, I came straight off the plane from Paris to sing for our beautiful vice president @kamalaharris," she added. "Thank you for inviting me, it was an honor to sing today."
Halle Bailey Fans Gush Over Her Performance
Fans immediately flooded the comments section, expressing their support for the actress. "MIC WAS ON!! So beautiful!" one user wrote.
"The Vocals are MASTERFUL!!!" another chimed in.
"What an INCREDIBLE Moment!" a third expressed.
"Queens supporting queens," someone else said.
Alanis Morissette also performed at the event.
Kamala Harris Steps In As Democratic Nominee
Shortly after President Joe Biden announced he would be stepping down as the Democratic nominee in the upcoming election, current Vice President Kamala Harris stepped up to the plate.
“With the support of 99% of all participating delegates in the virtual roll call, Vice President Harris has historic momentum at her back as we embark on the final steps in officially certifying her as our Party’s nominee,” DNC Chair Jaime Harrison and DNCC Chair Minyon Moore said in a statement.
“We thank the thousands of delegates from all across the country who took seriously their responsibility throughout this process to make their voices – and the voices of their communities – heard," they added. "As we prepare to certify the nomination alongside Convention Secretary Rae, we know that we are all a part of an important piece of history.”
Kamala Harris’ L.A. Fundraiser Pulls In More Than $28 Million
Vice President Harris' first appearance at a Los Angeles fundraiser since she became the Democratic nominee was filled with Hollywood celebrities. The downtown event was a resounding success, reportedly raising over $28 million, according to Deadline.
“Every four years we say this is the one. This here is the one,” Harris told the crowd, per Deadline, at the JW Marriott hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Sterling K. Brown, along with Keegan-Michael Key, were among the speakers at the event. “This is the most important election of our lifetime, for real,” Key emphasized in his remarks before Harris took the stage.
Other notable attendees included music legend Stevie Wonderand pop star Demi Lovato.
“I look around this room and there are people who have been with me here every step of the way," Harris said during the event, per The Hollywood Reporter. “I know who’s here and so many of us have been involved every four years, and every four years we say, ‘This is the one’; this here’s the one. This is probably the most important election in our lifetime, and it’s probably the most important in the life of our country.”
Actors And Actresses Show Up To Support Kamala Harris
The event also saw appearances from actress Jessica Alba, comedy icon Lily Tomlin, and "Watchmen" showrunner and longtime Democratic donor Damon Lindelof, accompanied by his spouse, Heidi.
The ballroom also featured a mix of agents and industry publicists, including Disney’s Kristina Schake, former WBTV spokesperson Jeff Tobler, Alison Rou, Scott Rowe, AppleTV’s Rita Cooper Lee, CAA’s Michael Mand, and Kelly Bush Novak.
Notably, attorney Gloria Allred was among the attendees as well.
“This race is as close as it could be and we are the underdog, friends,” Harris said. “And I’m running like the underdog.”
Harris' campaign events coincide with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's preparations to debate Trump's running mate, Senator J.D. Vance, on Tuesday.
