'Jersey Shore' Star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's Girlfriend Showed 'Visible Marks' During DV Arrest

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's girlfriend showed 'visible marks' after police were called to the couple's home -- and it turns out, she is the one who called them -- even though she has continued to defend the reality star.
The 'Jersey Shore' star was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence last week after officers booked him following some sort of incident with his girlfriend.
At the time, little was known about what prompted the arrest, but now it is being reported that his girlfriend -- Saffire Matos -- is the one who called the police after an argument allegedly turned physical.

According to reports, Matos called 911 on the night in question and that prompted officers to arrive at the location where they question both of them.
At the time, officers "observed visible marks" on Saffire's body which they concluded were sustained during a fight with the reality star, TMZ reports.
It's unclear what the argument was about, or how severe the injuries were to Ronnie's girlfriend.
This is an interesting turn of events, considering it's Ronnie's girlfriend who went on the full offensive, defending her boyfriend and tells fans not to believe everything they read on the internet.

Following the arrest, Matos issues a statement saying, "Ronnie and I are fine."
She continued, "There is a lot of misleading information floating around out there. With anybody who reached out with concern I appreciate it with all my heart, but everything that's being portrayed out there are not facts."
Adding, "I don't think it's fair that people are using false accusations to gain attention. Please leave Ron and I alone. You don't know what someone is going through at the end of the day. Don't believe everything you hear or read online."

In this case, even if Ronnie's girlfriend decides she is not going to be a cooperating victim in this case -- the reality star may have bigger issues in his other criminal case.
As we reported, Magro has been arrested for a similar issue in the past with his baby mama Jenn Harley. After that arrest, Ronnie was placed on probation, and the judge, in this case, may consider the latest incident a violation of that probation.
If this is the case, Ronnie could be facing some time behind bars.
