Sean "Diddy" Combs remains optimistic in the Brooklyn Jail where he's being held despite his highly-publicized legal woes and prison stay.
His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said that the "Bad Boy For Life" rapper's "resolve is strong" and that he's "focused on his defense."
Diddy's case has now seemingly entered a new phase as reports suggest law enforcement is going after those who took part in his alleged "freak-offs" that involved women being drugged and assaulted.
Diddy Remains 'Remarkably Positive' Behind Bars
In a new clip from TMZ's "The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment," Diddy's lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, opened up about how his client is holding up in jail.
Agnifilo disclosed that the embattled music mogul has maintained an upbeat outlook as he seeks to prove his innocence on the sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges he's been slammed with.
He's currently being held at the notorious Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, which has been known for its harsh living conditions and dangerousness.
"His state of mind is actually remarkably positive," Diddy's attorney told the news outlet after he was when reminded that his client could spend more than a year behind bars before even reaching trial.
"I spend several hours with him every day. His resolve is strong, he's engaged, he's focused on his defense," Agnifilo explained. "He is so focused on trying to right his wrong that it's actually giving him a form of strength and a form of confidence that I think is going to get him through a difficult time."
Diddy Was Placed Under Suicide Watch
The music producer was placed under suicide watch just hours after he was arrested on Monday, September 16, by Homeland Security at the Park Hyatt Hotel in New York City.
According to People Magazine, a source noted that the decision to place him under suicide watch was made for "preventative measures" as he was in shock and his mental state was "unclear" at the time.
However, his lawyer, Agnifilo, rebutted the speculations about Diddy's mental health.
"We see him every day and he has come to terms with the fact that this is where he is for now. We are trying to get this matter to trial as soon as possible," Agnifilo said, per TMZ.
"There's an adage that we have in my office: 'Don't tell me what I did wrong, tell me what I do next.' And that's where he is," the attorney added.
Feds Target Those Involved In Diddy's 'Freaks Offs'
While Diddy awaits trial, law enforcement agents are reportedly ramping up their probe and now appear to be going after those involved in his "freak offs" as the case enters a new phase.
According to The L.A. Times, top legal counsels shared that authorities are pursuing the case with the same racketeering playbook they used to take down the likes of John Gotti and James "Whitey" Bulger.
"They are very much treating this matter like a mobster case ... and articulating various roles that different people played in supporting the conspiracy," federal defense counsel Louis Shapiro told the news outlet.
"If I were a celebrity who participated in one of Combs' freak-offs, I would be shaking in my boots. At best, they're a witness in a case that is very likely going to trial. At worst, they're a co-defendant," former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani said.
More Names May Come Out In The Coming Weeks
Diddy has been hit with several sexual assault lawsuits from different women since he was arrested and jailed.
Mr. Shapiro, who isn't directly linked to Diddy's case, told the L.A. Times that the government has already interviewed more than 50 witnesses and served 300 warrants.
According to the news outlet, several witnesses have had meetings with federal prosecutors concerning the case, and at least one sex worker is billed to testify in a potential grand jury proceeding. Prosecutors have maintained that the possibility of others being charged remains active.
"I can't take anything off the table. Anything is possible," said Damian Williams, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, announcing the indictment. "Our investigation is very active and ongoing."
Diddy has already been denied bail twice since he was arrested. He has, however, managed to talk to his mom and children, who were reportedly left distraught by his allegations.
A Very 'High Profile Person' Was Seen In An X-Rated Tape Filmed At Diddy's Atlanta Home
On Friday's episode of Banfield on NewsNation, Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, an attorney representing one of Diddy's accusers, made a startling revelation regarding who might have been present during the rapper's alleged "pornographic" acts.
She claimed that "one particular person contacted [her] to shop a particular video," adding that it was "pornographic" in nature. One of the individuals in the video was allegedly a "high-profile person" whom Diddy was linked to.
Mitchell-Kidd also suggested that the act was most likely recorded at Diddy's Atlanta home. From what she observed, she noted that the person being filmed seemed unaware that they were being recorded.
"It does seem like the person isn't looking into the video. To me, it doesn't seem like that person knows they're being videotaped," the attorney added, per the Daily Mail.
Whoever the high-profile person was, Mitchell-Kidd opted not to share that detail, leaving plenty of room for speculation.
