Michael B. Jordan has quickly grown into becoming one of the biggest actors in the world over the last five years. On April 30, the Tom Clancy “Without Remorse” film is being released on Amazon Prime Video as he plays the role of John Clark. This film details the story of a Navy SEAL who is seeking justice for the murder of his wife. Ahead of the release, MBJ was asked about the possibility of him becoming the new Superman, as these rumors have been heating up.

MBJ said to The Hollywood Reporter that he will not be Superman while at the same time, praising Ta-Nehisi Coates for the job he’s done for the screenplay of this film. 

“It’s smart of DC to grab Ta-Nehisi to go ahead and adapt that project,” Jordan explained. He’s incredibly talented. It’s going to be worth checking out. I’m flattered that people have me in that conversation. It’s definitely a compliment, but I’m just watching on this one.”

MBJ also discussed with PEOPLE how excited and thankful he is to play the role of John Clark in ‘Without Remorse.’ He explained how he’d use the John Clark character in video games growing up.

“As a kid, I’d play John Clark in the video games Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon and imagine myself in that role.,” MBJ said. “So for everything to come full circle and to be able to play him in real life, it’s really fulfilling.”

MBJ has plenty of projects on the way as another film that fans are looking forward to is the third installment of the “Creed” films. These boxing films have been very popular since the first was released in 2015. Things will be a bit different for this one though as Sylvester Stallone will not be back.

“I think that Sly let it be known that he wasn’t coming back for this one but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there’s always going to be a little bit of Rocky within Adonis,” said Jordan to IGN. “But this is a Creed franchise, and we really want to build this story and this world around him moving forward.”

Michael B. Jordan‘s dating life has also been public as he and Lori Harvey confirmed in January that they are in fact dating. That came after the two were seen together in Atlanta and Salt Lake City in November and December. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, he also added that he is “extremely happy” with this situation.

“I’m still private, and I want to protect that, but it just felt like it was a moment of just wanting to put it out there and move on. I am extremely happy.”
