Netflix has enjoyed a relatively unchallenged position as the king of digital movie streaming for years. That title has only recently been challenged with the rise of Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video, and other digital streaming services like HBO Max. (Plus it did not help that Netflix was actually indicted by the Texas Grand Jury over their “Cuties” film)

Thankfully, it looks like Netflix might actually be learning from its mistakes and has announced that it will be releasing a flurry of new content for its subscriber base!

Fans of the streaming service were already ecstatic to have viewing access to the long-awaited, alternate version of DC’s “Justice League”, titled the “Snyder Cut”. (After producer Zack Snyder)

That film has retained quite the cult-following despite the majority vote asserting that the film didn’t quite do the franchise ‘justice’. 
That being said, DC ranks among the world’s foremost superhero brands/franchises right next to Marvel Studios.

If you aren’t a superhero fan, no problem, Netflix has plenty of other choices coming out in May!

Netflix has also announced new additions to existing shows, like “Master Of None”, with Season 3 expected to release soon.

Fan’s expectations for the platform continue to rise after Disney’s streaming platform garnered a bigger viewer base in less than a year. (Disney Plus had over 50 million users in 2020, which is more than Netflix had. Netflix had over 46 million users that year)

The statistics remain incredibly close and many wonder whether Netflix will continue to compete now that Disney has retracted practically of their brands to their exclusive platform.
