Bethenny Frankel Feels A Bit Awkward About Planning A Wedding
“We haven’t set a date because immediately we were private about it so then to jump into everybody found out, and then it was celebrating in a different way once everyone found out, but we din’t want to jump right into the planning mode," Frankel, 50, explained of the current delay in her and Bernon's wedding planning.
"And it also feels awkward to me at my age to be worried about the dress and the whole pomp and circumstance of it," she continued.
Bethenny Frankel Is Aware Of The Current State Of The World
According to Frankel, she feels as if she's in wedding purgatory as she determines what her wedding to Bernon should mean, versus what society pushes.
"And we’re in a pandemic. That feels weird too. It feels like, let’s enjoy each other and the moment and the process,” she shared.
As for her initial wedding date, Frankel said that she and Bernon opted to call it off after feeling that their entire lives became consumed with conversations about the planning going into the event.

“We had a date but then it felt rushed. It was all we were talking about. It consumed the entire process and I feel I’ve done it wrong so many times,” she noted.
Moving onto her new show, "The Big Shot with Bethenny," which features her hunting for the perfect person to run her Skinnygirl company, Frankel admitted she's already considering an "exit plan."
"I’m not one of these people that’s defined by how busy I am. I like to be in a pajamas sleeping a lot of the time," she laughed.

While she couldn't spoil the end result of her show, Frankel did confirm that her debut season was met with a winner.
"We found the person and I didn’t think we would. I was actually nervous because I thought I’m going to be the person who is unappeasable," she explained. "[The show], it’s so real that if I didn’t find a person, I’d be honest about it. It wasn’t a perfect process with a format and a thing I said every week. It was my real business with my real products, my real struggles."
