Prince Harry will visit Lesotho for the first time in over six years to promote his charity, Sentebale, and he might do so without his wife, Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex co-founded the charity with Lesotho's Prince Seeiso in 2004, when he spent two months there at age 19.

Prince Harry's trip to Lesotho follows his and Meghan Markle's visit to Colombia and Nigeria on what many have branded a "quasi-royal" tour.

According to a report, Harry will travel to Lesotho for the first time in over six years, but his wife Meghan will likely not accompany him on the trip.

The duke's trip to Lesotho is scheduled for early next month. During his time there, Harry will meet with local stakeholders, business leaders, and philanthropists as he promotes the work of his youth-focused charity, Sentebale.

Harry co-founded the Sentebale with Lesotho's Prince Seeiso, who said the community is overjoyed to welcome back Mohale. "Mohale" is the royal name given to Harry, which means "warrior."

Speaking about the trip, Harry said: "As we head towards our 20th anniversary, our ambition has grown, giving us the confidence to bring our skills and experience in designing solutions with young people, and to leveraging our convening power to engage with leading regional players and global funders so we can add Sentebale's voice to addressing the challenges faced by the next generation in southern Africa."

Harry reportedly developed the idea of Sentebale in 2004 after spending two months in Lesotho. The experience during his gap year left a huge impact on Harry, who was just 19 years old at the time.

During the visit, Harry met with AIDS orphans, traumatized youths, and herd boys living in remote mountain areas.

The prince visited Lesotho at the invitation of Seeiso, a friend of his mentor at the time, ex-Army officer Mark Dyer. The Sentebale charity was founded in 2006 and started off in Lesotho before expanding operations into Botswana.

According to the Daily Mail, Sentebale operates in four primary areas: providing access to health and social services, building individuals' skills and quality of life, strengthening the well-being of those living with HIV, and driving the growth of youth advocacy.

Harry hasn't been to the region to promote Sentebale since his visit to the capital, Maseru, in 2018, the year he and Meghan tied the knot.

Harry's trip to Lesotho follows his and his wife Meghan's highly publicized trips to Colombia and Nigeria.

In August, the duo visited Colombia at the invitation of the country's vice president, Francia Marquez.

The four-day visit saw the couple stop by a local school, participate in a summit on building a safer digital landscape, and engage with emerging voices in Colombia. Harry also took time to interact with Colombian Invictus Games athletes in Bogota.

In May, they visited Nigeria for three days after being invited by the country's highest-ranking military official, the Chief of Defense Staff.

During the trip, they heavily promoted themes of mental health and women's empowerment while engaging with local charities, wounded veterans in hospitals, and students.

After Harry's birthday, he embarked on an eight-day visit to New York and London alone.

The duke first attended a dinner put together by the World Health Organization to honor survivors of childhood violence.

At the event, he met other notable dignitaries, including actor Forest Whitaker, several UN Agency Heads, and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, whom he greeted warmly upon arrival.

During his trip to the Big Apple, Harry supported pet charities and organizations like African Parks, The HALO Trust, and The Diana Award.

The duke will then fly to London this weekend for his annual visit to support WellChild at their awards ceremony, still without Meghan.

Royal Biographer Phil Dampier recently suggested that Harry turning 40 has made him see things from a different perspective.

"Harry sometimes feels like a spare part and he often looks unhappy when he's out with Meghan at events in California," Dampier told the Daily Mail. "I think he has reached a point where he wants more for himself. He's turned 40 and must be asking himself what the future holds."

"I think he's desperate to find some new meaning to his life, and that seems to involve branching out on his own more," he shared.

Dampier went on to claim that the duke is looking for something new he can throw himself into "and give his life some purpose" amid Meghan's alleged decision not to return to the UK due to security issues.
