Back in December 2020, Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul confirmed that they would be fighting in a boxing exhibition match in February 2020. When January rolled around though, it was announced that this fight would be postponed. Sources close to TMZ revealed that the reasoning for this was “COVID and other things.” It wasn’t revealed if one of the fighters caught COVID but in that moment, plans were being made in order to have. rescheduled date on the table. 

Last week, Floyd took to his Instagram feed to reveal that he had various cities in mind for this fight vs Paul as he soon decided on Miami. Other cities he had marked down were Las Vegas, Dallas, Los Angeles, or Atlanta. Now, the Miami location is official as the fight will go down on June 6. The venue will be Hardrock Stadium, which is home to the University of Miami’s football team as well as the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.

Fans can watch Floyd vs Logan on Fanmio PPV as well as Showtime PPV. Both fighters took to their Instagram feeds to start promoting the fight on Tuesday night. Money Mayweather believes that this will be an “epic event” event though many on social media believe that this could be an easy victory for him.

The last time that Floyd was in the ring, it was in an another exhibition fight. This took place on December 31, 2018 in Saitama, Japan. Floyd faced off against Tenshin Nasukawa as he was able to score an easy first round TKO victory. There were rumors that Floyd would fight UFC legend, Khabib Nurmagomedov after that but that didn’t end up happening. Now, June 6 is the anticipated date for the boxing legend as he will likely be heavily favored vs Logan Paul in Miami.

It’s been a while since Logan Paul hit the ring as well. The last fight that he competed in was one that counted towards his professional record in November 2019. He faced off against fellow YouTuber, KSI, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Paul ended up losing by split decision in  six rounds. Many ended up being shocked to find out that he was able to secure an exhibition match vs one of the greatest boxers of all-time in Floyd but in the end, fans want entertainment.
