At the inaugural stop of her "Short n' Sweet Tour" in Columbus, Ohio, Carpenter left fans stunned when it was time for the custom outro of her performance.

Just as she was about to deliver the iconic outro, her microphone unexpectedly cut out, and she was escorted off the stage. Meanwhile, a message flashed on the screen: “We apologize for the interruption of our program due to technical difficulties.”

Many are convinced this is Carpenter's way of telling her fans she is over the outros and will no longer be performing them.

In an interview with Teen Vogue at our annual summit in L.A. back in 2022, Carpenter opened up about the "Nonsense" outros, discussing the significant effort involved in crafting them. She emphasized that whether they were spontaneously improvised or planned in advance, each outro required meticulous preparation.

“I was excited to find a way to switch up every single show and have it be slightly different, and then I screwed myself over because I'll be 90 rewriting this outro,” Carpenter admitted at the time.

"[Short n' Sweet] is very different from [her] last album," she said, per Just Jared. "Where I questioned it until the day before it came out, like, ‘Is it done?’ and, ‘Could I have changed it?’ and ‘Could I have written another song?’"

"And to be fair, I do have a hard time with the fact that I do feel like life doesn’t stop," she added. "So it’s really hard to tell when a chapter of your life should be book-ended.”

One of her biggest hits off the album is "Taste," whose music video went viral due to her steamy kiss with Jenna Ortega.

In the music video, Carpenter plots revenge on her ex, portrayed by fellow "Halloween" actor Rohan Campbell, after he moves on with a new partner played by Jenna Ortega. The storyline escalates as Carpenter’s character stalks Ortega and even sneaks into her home, fueled by her desire for vengeance.

One standout lyric from the song declares, "You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissing you."

Ortega's character proves to be equally unpredictable, leading to several intense confrontations between the two. The drama takes an unexpected twist with a surprising kiss, adding even more tension to the unfolding narrative.
