Kanye West always wins big when it comes to his Adidas sneakers releases and slides. Today featured the sale of his new Yeezy sneakers which were available in three different colors. They were listed at an affordable $55 price each. These were anticipated for weeks, so everyone was ready to log on online vie for a chance to be able to wear these comfortable  slides. Unfortunately for many though, the demand was so high to the point where they were not not able to buy a pair themselves.

Kanye fans vented on Twitter about the new Yeezy slides today as well. Many were disappointed that they didn’t get a pair while others questioned if the slides actually even looked good. The main topic was how they were not able to win the drawings on sneaker apps that would’ve helped them be able to buy the slides. This is a common frustration that sneaker heads go through these days in their attempts to get the hottest footwear out. 

On Monday, it was also revealed that Kanye’s iconic 2008 Air Yeezy 1 sneakers were sold for $1.8 million as well. These were worn by him at the 2008 GRAMMYs were he performed classic songs of his such as “Hey Mama” and “Stronger.” The purchase was made by sneaker investment marketplace, RARES. Kanye and Mark Smith originally designed these shoes 14 years ago and fans loved the design.

In addition to the Yeezy slides that were released today and sold out quickly, new Yeezy sneakers are also arriving this summer. These will come in three different colorways as the release date is set for June 24. The colors are being labeled as “Clay,” “Ice,” and “Mist.” These sneakers will each retail for $220. As expected though, these will likely soar with the prices on resale market apps. These sales continue to just show how dominant Kanye is outside of music. 

Kanye West is also making headlines he is still going through a divorce with Kim Kardashian. Kim reportedly officially filed paperwork in mid-February. Their initial divorce announcement was revealed at the top of January, though. Kanye reportedly recently come out though and said how he hates the narrative is out there that Kim wanted this divorce first and also wanted to file first. Both also want joint custody of their children and are fine with being able to co-parent. Assets are also supposedly not an issue in this divorce settlement.
