According to the Daily Mail, the Connecticut medical examiner's office revealed that the popular hype man died from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, which led to his collapse while performing in Hamden, Connecticut, on August 30.
In the wake of his death, his family released a heartfelt statement, describing him as more than just a "world-class performer; he was a father, brother, uncle, and friend."
"Last night, the world lost a radiant soul, a beacon of light on the stage and in life," they shared. "He was the laughter in our lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength, and courage."
Scoop's family hailed him as "the undisputed voice of the club," emphasizing how his "music made us dance and embrace life with positivity."

Scoop's final moments were during a live performance, where he experienced a medical emergency that shocked fans in attendance.
Footage from the event captured the moment the Grammy Award-winning artist suddenly disappeared from view behind a DJ booth, eliciting screams from the audience.
Just moments earlier, the hype man had been energizing the crowd, urging them to "make some noise!" As seen in videos recorded by fans, Scoop confidently strutted towards the back of the stage, calling out once more, "I said Hamden, make some noise!"
After climbing the stairs to the DJ booth, his breathing appeared to become increasingly labored as he panted into the microphone.
"If you came to the party," he began but then paused for a long moment before leaning forward. With slurred words, he added, "Make some noise," before collapsing to the ground and dropping the microphone.

He became well known for his booming voice and boisterous stage presence. The late rapper won a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video for his work on "Lose Control" alongside Missy Elliott and Ciara.
Scoop also made a name for himself in podcasting and reality TV before his untimely death.
