Amanda Seyfried In See-Through Dress 'Didn't Know The Rules'

Amanda Seyfried has been revisiting her Mean Girls premiere look as she admits she "didn't know" the "rules." Turning heads in a sheer dress quickly dubbed a "naked" one in 2005, the actress displayed her stunning figure while flashing her undies on the red carpet, something she opened up about years later in a 2022 interview. Admitting that she's styled herself and received no fashion input, Amanda defended her style choice, although she did it in a humble way while speaking to Jimmy Kimmel.

Looking relatively innocent compared to today's red carpet looks, the blonde flaunted her toned tummy while peeping a white bra beneath her dress, showing hints of her cleavage as her lingerie came plunging and balconette-style.

Wearing strappy black sandals, Amanda kept her outfit light and stylish, clutching a purse and wearing her locks down and straight.

Dolling herself up with a dewy makeup layer and red lips, Amanda looked every inch the glam queen, but her 2022 confession revealed that everything, right down to the cosmetics, had been a DIY job.

"I didn't have a publicist, I didn't have a stylist, I did my own makeup. Humble beginnings," she told talk show host Jimmy. "I didn't know any of the rules, so I was wearing a white bra and black underwear and no slip." Amanda also revealed that she'd forked out a small fortune for her at the time, spending $600 on her dress.

Continuing, the 38-year-old shared:

"I used the only money I had to buy a dress—but there were two premieres, and so I had to buy two dresses, because you wear different dresses. "I couldn't even afford a ride home." As of 2024, Amanda's net worth is reported to be $16 million. Together with her husband Thomas Sadosk, she owns an NYC property and the Catskills Mountains farm the couple lives on.

In May 2023, Amanda stunned her Instagram fans in this green blazer, going pantless in her oversized look while flaunting her killer legs. Posing by a large window as she promoted the thriller series The Crowded Room she stars in, the Hollywood star rocked strappy heels, and it looked like the live rooster next to her was straight from her farm home. Fans left the post over 57,000, with actress Dove Cameron also leaving one.
