Gymnast McKayla Maroney Spreads Cheer In Buttercup-Yellow Sundress

Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney is all buttercup yellows in her skimpy sundress, with a "Sunshine girl" vibe spreading cheer for her 1.3 million Instagram followers. The 25-year-old vault queen, massively in the news of late for undergoing kidney stones surgery, is seemingly bouncing back, and she's been doing it with gorgeous fashion show-offs that included some major designer injections. Two recent posts from the California native have brought in Gucci and Louis Vuitton, with the star stunning her fans. Check it out below.

An E.R. visit in February saw the gymnast admit to being in "severe pain," but with stones that didn't budge after three weeks, the London 2012 Olympics face was forced to return to the hospital and actually go under the knife.

Showing off her recovery and flawless style, McKayla updated with outdoor shots while in a short-sleeved, floaty, and pleated-skirt sundress in yellow, rocking a Gucci logo belt in black.

With the wind blwoing through her hair and posing by urban greenery, McKayla kept it low-key and cute. "Sunshine girl," the star wrote, and the post is getting noticed by other gymnasts. 31-year-old former Olympian Nastia Liukin was quick to leave a like. The post directly followed another of McKayla snapping herself in selfie mode from her car as she wrote: "In the midst of darkness be light, and on grey days wear yellow."

Just this weekend, McKayla udpated with a very luxurious shot, one seeing the gymnast showcase her black-monogrammed Louis Vuitton purse. Also rocking a leopard-print cardigan and chic cream skirt, McKayla wrote: "Bad vibes don't match my outfit."

"It's a little bit edgy, but casual at the same time. Sort of how Miley Cyrus dresses!" McKayla told Teen Vogue about her style. "I really like crop tops. I like how you can dress them up or down, with jeans or a skirt and heels." More photos below!

Maroney, fresh from saying she feels a million bucks for de-cluttering her wardrobe and even admitting that her pants didn't fit, also admitted that being petite affects her shopping.

"I'm really petite, so I can't just go and buy those kind of pants because nothing fits me right! I have to search and search. I also want to try out some high-waisted shorts," she added. McKayla has also revealed hating having her weight scrutinized after the 2012 Olympics.
