The 'Sister Wives' Star Started Afresh In North Carolina

Starting a new business is just the latest in Janelle's ongoing effort to separate herself from her past with Kody after their split. Previously, she took a significant step toward her new life by purchasing a $289,000 property in Chocowinity, North Carolina.

The Blast noted that Janelle purchased her 156-acre agricultural property on March 28, just two years after she parted ways with Kody, the father of her six children.

This new home is also a strategic choice for the reality TV star, as it places her less than 30 minutes away from her daughter, Maddie Brown, who lives in Greenville.

Maddie, her husband, Caleb Brush, and their three children relocated to Greenville in July 2021.

The TV Personality's Move To Sell Coyote Pass Land

Lately, Janelle has been focused on leaving her former polygamous life behind. In a recent development, she demonstrated her desire for a fresh start by announcing plans to sell her portion of the Coyote Pass land to her ex-husband.

The Blast reported that the decision aligns with her consideration of relocating to Montana to be closer to her eldest daughter, Maddie.

However, Janelle's path forward is not without challenges. Kody has been uncommunicative about the property, so she is contemplating legal action to resolve the situation.

"If Kody's not willing to buy me out … I'm going to have to do something with it. I think I'm going to have to lawyer up. That's the only way I'm ever going to get any kind of decision out of him," she confided to her fellow 'Sister Wife,' Christine, in the clip.

Janelle Brown's Plan To Sell Coyote Pass Land Hits Legal Snag

The star is eager to move forward with her life, but disentangling herself from the Coyote Pass property is proving more challenging than expected. Despite her desire to leave the past behind, legal hurdles are complicating her plans to sell her share of the land.

While Christine called the move to be near Maddie a "no-brainer," Janelle acknowledged that selling her stake in the land is not as straightforward as she had hoped.

"I really have no legal rights to make any kind of claim on Kody's property. We're not legally married," she admitted, revealing the complexities of her situation.

Janelle Brown's latest business venture, coupled with purchasing a new home, is a testament to her determination to forge a fresh path.
