McGee admitted that the loss was quite unexpected as the pregnancy was "closer to the end of the first trimester," and she added that she does not have any real reasons as to why it happened that way.
Through it all, McGee noted that she was "still so grateful to have the experience of being able to conceive at this age and this time." The star also spoke on depression that hit her since the loss of what was supposed to be her fourth child and how it was to get out of bed.
"There are so many things that come when you really want a family and you want your family to be complete," she stated. "Thereare so many dreams that you have. It was hard to face the fact that that's not going to happen at this point in the junction."
McGee shared that so many women reached out to her since she announced she was pregnant in June after three children.

The actress also explained that she did not experience menopausal syndrome, which made it quite easy for her to surprisingly conceive naturally, and no one told her she "couldn't do it."
The actress explained that she wanted to share the experience with her husband, Marcello Thedford. She also wanted the chance to pour her years of knowledge into a newborn, stating, "When you raise kids young, you miss some things."
McGee shared that she and her husband went to Belize to visit her husband's aunt, destress, and settle into her feminine energy to prepare her body for the pregnancy. She also changed her diet to healthier options and made holistic changes to her body and mindset.
When asked if she would get pregnant again, the actress said:
"Part of me doesn't ever want to go through this again. The conclusion I came to is,we'lljust keep loving each other, if something happens that way, fine, but I don't want to put another anxiety on myself. Sometimes it really is better to let go and let God."

Despite preparing her body and trying the natural way for a lengthy period, the actress could not fully comprehend the reality of being a mother for the fourth time. "I just kept saying, 'Is this really happening? I still do that. 'Is this really happening?' But it is." she exclaimed.
McGee shared that when she gets sick or exhibits weird behaviors like pregnant mothers do, she gets overwhelmed with nostalgic memories from her previous pregnancies. She added:
"And I'm remembering all the other times when I was pregnant, you know, 25 years ago, and I'm like, wow, this is it. This is really happening. It's wonderful. It's great."
Trina McGee And Her Husband Planned An Indigenous African Naming Ceremony For The Child
McGee certainly handled the pregnancy differently, and even while she was 12 weeks pregnant, she shared that she did not know the sex or pick out a name. The 90s sitcom star explained that she and her husband decided to wait until the baby's arrival before choosing a name.
According to McGee, the decision is in line with the "indigenous African tradition" where parents "want to see who the child is" and then "name it according to that strength."
McGee disclosed that her friends in Africa gave her "Kaway," which means warrior, after getting to know her. However, her husband nicknamed the child "Sonny X" at the time out of his desire for a son.
Although short-lived, Trina McGee's pregnancy journey is nothing short of bravery!
