Rosario Dawson and Cory Booker‘s relationship is built on the strongest foundation there is… their love for food!
“The Mandolorian” star bragged about her Senator boyfriend’s vegan cooking skills on Friday, April 24. Dawson shared a delicious-looking photo of nachos made by Booker. “When your Senator makes you Vegan nachos… Mmmmmm,” the star captioned her vegan pic.
Cory and Rosario decided to spice things up and moved in together last summer. It seems like they spend their night cooking fantastic meals with a side of romance! Check out the nachos below!
Dawson’s fans had a field day and cracked several jokes in the comments section of her post. “nacho average senator!” one follower wrote, while another said, “Yas! Get you a smart man who can cook!!!!!”
The hunger-inspiring post comes a month after Cory told PEOPLE that cooking is one of their favorite things to do together… especially during the pandemic! “Literally she just bought a food processor, a Cuisinart thing, for our kitchen yesterday,” Booker said in March 2021. “So I’m very excited about just expanding my capability to make delicious, healthy, whole plant-based food at home.”
Booker is a long-time vegan but Dawson found her own way to the vegan lifestyle. “She came to that on her own, which is great because we have, during the time of COVID, we’ve been working on cooking together a lot more,” he said.
The in-love Senator told Buzzfeed in October that Rosario drove cross country to live with him in New Jersey. “This is the first time in my life I’ve really lived with somebody — and obviously Rosario and I are enjoying and adjusting to that,” Cory said.
He continued and said that meals are a big priority for the couple. “I have not done that, really, as a bachelor, where I actually sit at a table and just, like, breathe and eat a meal,” Booker said at the time. “And just set a table — I can’t tell you how rarely do I set the table as a bachelor, you know, as a guy living alone. So it’s just really nice to set a table, have somebody to say grace with, before a meal. It’s just those small things really are, I’m finding, incredibly enriching.”
