Harrison Butker found himself in hot water during Sunday night’s Kansas City Chiefs game, prompting a wave of backlash from women on social media.

For some background context, the NFL kicker made a speech that took a controversial turn earlier this year, going viral for all the wrong reasons. He tackled sensitive topics such as politics, the LGBTQ community, and gender roles, raising eyebrows when he suggested that graduating women had been fed "the most diabolical lies" and implied they should aspire to be "homemakers."

Women are once again speaking out about Harrison Butker's speech and are putting him on blast after missing a kick during "Sunday Night Football."

NFL fans are having a field day with commentator Cris Collinsworth's comment during "Sunday Night Football."

During a 3rd & 7 play, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected with JuJu Smith-Schuster near the 7-yard line, allowing the wide receiver to push into the end zone and extend Kansas City's lead.

However, Butker's missed extra point hit the right upright, leaving the game a one-score affair. Immediately after the miss, Collinsworth made a comment about women enjoying football, and social media quickly took note of the timing.

"And the commentators going 'more women are watching football!' at the same time," one user wrote on TikTok.

Earlier this year, Butker's commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas sparked widespread discussion nationwide.

"How many of you are sitting here now about to cross this stage and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world," he said in his speech on May 11. "But I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world."

He later spoke about his wife, who "would be the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother."

Butker's speech also sparked controversy due to his views on the LGBTQ community and political issues.

"Bad policies and poor leadership" had "negatively impacted major life issues," the NFL kicker said in his speech back in May, seemingly bashing President Joe Biden. "Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerative cultural values in media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder."

"We cannot buy into the lie that the things we experienced during COVID were appropriate," Butker added. "Over the centuries, there have been great wars, great famines, and yes, even great diseases, all that came with a level of lethality and danger. But in each of those examples, Church leaders leaned into their vocations and ensured that their people received the sacraments."

Almost two weeks after his commencement speech at the Kansas college, Butker took the stage once more at the "Courage Under Fire" gala held at Regina Caeli Academy, a traditional Catholic school in Nashville, Tennessee, where he delivered another address.

"The theme for tonight's gala, 'Courage Under Fire,' was decided many months ago, but it now feels providential that this would be the theme after what we have all witnessed these past two weeks," Butker added. "If it wasn't clear that the timeless Catholic values are hated by many, it is now."

"Over the past few days, my beliefs, or what people think I believe, have been the focus of countless discussions around the globe. At the outset, many people expressed a shocking level of hate, but as the days went on, even those who disagreed with my viewpoints shared their support for my freedom of religion."
