Usher has addressed the reason why his tweets on his X account temporarily disappeared, amid speculation from fans who think the move was related to Sean "Diddy" Combs' recent arrest.

The popular R&B crooner is known for having a close relationship with the music mogul. As a teenager, Usher even lived with Diddy while trying to break into the music industry.

On Sunday, Usher's X account was shockingly wiped out, quickly raising eyebrows among social media users.

While the incident would not have caused much curiosity on a typical day, the fact that it happened following Diddy's arrest changed everything.

Usher and Diddy have had a close, collaborative relationship since the '90s, and the latter reportedly produced the R&B singer's first album. With Diddy now facing sex crime charges and other sordid revelations surfacing, fans began speculating that the sudden wipe of Usher's X account might be linked to the rapper's ongoing legal troubles.

However, the "Ruin" crooner has come out to put to bed those rumors with a reason that seems to explain why the incident should not be seen as an intentional act to hide something troubling.

Despite Usher's explanation, many fans have claimed that it is all a ruse and not the real reason his account was wiped.

One wrote, "[You] got hacked and the hackers decided to delete all your tweets instead of tweeting random stuff?"

A second penned, "Nobody's buying that dude. You better find yourself a nice non-extradition island to go to and stay there for a while."

A third user commented, "Somebody hacked you to delete tweets?? Where [do] they do that at?"

Another wrote, "Wow. Ok bro. Thats some IMPECCABLE timing after your handler, erm I mean 'friend' Diddy is now going down for crimes against children. You are a terrible liar."

Still, some users argued that the incident was just a way for the singer to promote his event.

One of the most unnerving things that came with Diddy's arrest was the revelation that he organized "Freak Offs."

This has been described as drug-filled sexual performances between female victims and male prostitutes that could go on for days.

In light of this, interviews of Usher talking about parties going down in Diddy's home have resurfaced, which may or may not be the "Freak Offs."

"You'd open a door and see somebody doing it, or several people in a room having an orgy," the singer said in a 2004 interview with Rolling Stone. "You never knew what was going to happen."

In his 2016 "The Howard Stern Show" interview, Usher recounted his time living at Diddy's house when he was 14.

Stern asked him if Diddy's "place was filled with chicks and orgying nonstop," to which the 45-year-old singer replied, "Not really... I got a chance to see some things. I don't know if I could indulge and even understand what I was looking at."

"It was pretty wild. It was crazy. There were very curious things taking place, and I didn't necessarily understand it," Usher admitted, per Daily Mail.

When asked if he would send his children to "Puffy Flavor Camp," Usher responded, "Hell no!"

Diddy is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in New York following his arrest on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Despite attempts by his legal team, he has been denied bail twice and will remain in custody until his trial, for which no date has yet been set.

US Attorney Damian Williams of the Southern District of New York has indicated that additional charges could potentially be brought against the rapper.

"I can't take anything off the table. Anything is possible," Williams said, per CNN. He also mentioned that the Diddy investigation is "very active and ongoing" and that "developments are certainly foreseeable."

If convicted of racketeering, Diddy could face up to life in prison. Additionally, the sex trafficking charge carries a statutory minimum sentence of 15 years.
