NFL Player Threatens To Use Taylor Swift Jabs Against Travis Kelce

Jessie Bates III is already gearing up to get inside Travis Kelce's head during the "Sunday Night Football" game on September 22, and he may (or may not) use Taylor Swift as leverage.
As the Chiefs continue to dominate the field, starting the season 2-0, Jessie Bates III says he will do anything he can to give Travis Kelce and the Chiefs their first loss.
Falcons Player May Use Taylor Swift As Topic Of Smack Talk
During his recent appearance on the "Pacman Jones Show," Bates warned there will be some serious trash talk during the big game.
“Once that clock ticks and we in between those lines, you know, I see red sometimes. I might say some crazy stuff to [Travis]," he said. "It may involve Taylor [Swift, or] it may not, but it’s just part of the game — talking your little smack."
While he may use Travis's high-profile girlfriend to try to get inside his head, he wants to be clear that there is no disrespect or hate coming from him. "I don’t listen to much Taylor Swift but obviously you got to respect [her] for what she has done with her career," Bates said.
Kirk Cousins Talks About Taylor Swift
Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins also spoke out about the possibility of Taylor Swift appearing at the "Sunday Night Football" game.
“I don’t know what she’s going to do. I know she owns a couple private jets, and that is very convenient for getting to things, I’ve learned," he said. "So, if she wants to be here, I’m sure she has the logistical means to make that happen."
Taylor has been a good luck charm for the Chiefs, but Travis's performance seems lackluster as the team kicks off the 2024 season.
Following a slow start to the season, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has recorded just three catches for 39 yards and no touchdowns in the first two games. On his podcast, he made it clear that he is shifting his focus away from personal statistics.
“I stopped caring about stats about four or five years ago,” he said on “New Heights” last week. “I just went out there and started to play free and play for my guys. Sure enough, I think that’s the better mentality. You think about it more play-by-play and what your job is on that specific play.”
Will Taylor Swift Be At The Chiefs-Falcons Game?
Due to security concerns, Taylor Swift’s schedule is kept under wraps, which is why there hasn’t been any confirmed news about her upcoming appearances.
However, with her "Eras Tour" not resuming until October 18 for a three-night stint in Miami, Taylor has plenty of chances to show support for her boyfriend and his teammates before hitting the road again.
This, of course, has led to speculation that she’s likely to attend the game.

Travis Kelce made a statement in all black as he boarded the Kansas City Chiefs' flight to Atlanta on Saturday afternoon, and fans are speculating that Taylor Swift was on his mind while choosing his outfit.
The tight end sported a black T-shirt layered with a blazer, paired with black pants and slip-on sandals, while carrying a matching black bag in his right hand. The ensemble sent Swifties into a frenzy on social media, with many suggesting it was a nod to Taylor's 2017 album, "Reputation."
Throughout her sold-out worldwide tour, which Travis has frequently attended, Taylor has often performed in her own all-black outfits, further fueling the connection between the two stars.
Taylor Swift Enjoys Night Out With Gigi Hadid In NYC
As speculation swirls about whether Taylor Swift will attend the Chiefs game against the Falcons on September 22, the 34-year-old pop star was spotted in NYC looking ready for fall in a dark crop top, plaid skirt, and heeled booties.
Accompanied by Gigi Hadid, who sported a dark trench coat and beige slacks, the duo enjoyed a meal at The Corner Store, with exclusive photos obtained by Page Six capturing the stylish outing.
Taylor does have her own private jet, so she could easily make it in time for kickoff at 8 p.m. ET.
