Sources close to TMZ Sports claimed that this was due to “COVID and other things.” The exact date for the fight was initially supposed to be on February 20 and streamed on Fanmio. This was viewed as a very interesting fight and many wondered how Paul was able to secure a fight against one of the best boxers ever.
Mayweather Plans New Date And Location For Fight Vs Paul
According to TMZ, Mayweather still intends to fight Paul and it’s much sooner than everyone thinks. Mayweather reportedly wants the fight to happen on June 6 in Miami. Sundays are typically never the day to have a huge boxing match like this but Mayweather’s team supposedly wanted this to happen due to a venue in Miami being able to hold a large crowd. This is a factor that is important for Mayweather as well. The exact venue has yet to be revealed.
Mayweather Vs Paul Would Be An Exhibition Match
Luckily for Mayweather and Paul, this matchup is an exhibition and will not affect their overall pro record. Mayweather is 50-0 in his pro boxing career and Paul is 0-1. His last pro fight was back in November of 2019 as he went down to KSI, another fellow YouTuber. The last time fans saw Mayweather in action was NYE December 2018 as he defeated Tenshin Nasukawa in Saitama, Japan. Paul has yet to step inside the ring since the loss to KSI.

Logan Paul pay be stepping into the ring soon and this comes after his brother, Jake, scored another boxing win for his pro career. This occurred last week at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta vs Ben Askren. Jake was able to secure this win quickly in the first round as it was quick work for him. Many believe that this fight was rigged but Jake quickly responded to this on Twitter by saying the ones who think so are using their mother’s WiFi.

For Money Mayweather, the last time fans saw him fight towards his actual boxing record, it was back in August 2017. That was a super fight vs UFC star, Conor McGregor. Many wondered if the fight would be interesting at all due to the two being in different sports but, it was able to last 10 rounds. In the 10th, Mayweather was able to secure the victory due to a TKO. Now, one of the greatest boxers ever may be back again for a fun exhibition in June.
