The actress addressed the trending feedback trailing her confessions about her personal life and struggles with mental health issues.

The 32-year-old appeared at the recent Women in Film event, where she was a speaker and dropped helpful nuggets to the audience. First, she sent a warning to haters who had the most to say about her struggles of not being able to carry children and being bipolar to "kindly f—k off."

Gomez then expressed her desire to be a voice for women despite her status as a world-class celebrity. According to the star, everyone has their own struggles. The singer encouraged attendees and the audience to always ask for help when facing problems, adding, "There's power in being vulnerable."

Gomez admonished everyone, especially her little sister Gracie, who accompanied her to the stage, not to "ever let anyone tell you that you're not a good person." In her concluding statement, the singer said:

"Screw anyone who tells you you're a victim. You're a survivor in my book."

Despite her revelation, TMZ shared that Gomez reiterated her commitment to being a mom someday, hopefully with her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, who earlier expressed the same desire to start a family with her.

Gomez Considered Two Alternatives To Help Her Become A Mom In The Future

The performer confessed that her medical issues "would put my life and the baby's in jeopardy" and noted that it was something she "had to grieve for a while."

On how she would achieve her dream of motherhood someday, The Blast noted that Gomez would have to settle for surrogacy or adoption.

The actress continued that she is "in a more better place" with her reality and "find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption" which she described as both huge possibilities for her.

Gomez declared that she was "thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms" like herself. Now that she is one of them, the actress is excited about what that journey will look like.

"...at the end of the day, I don't care. It'll be mine. It'll be my baby," the Disney star concluded in the discussion.
