Selena Gomez Slams Critics Of Her 'I Can't Carry Kids' Revelation

Selena Gomez is not letting the trolls win this time amid her huge revelation!

The actress addressed the trending feedback trailing her confessions about her personal life and struggles with mental health issues.

Selena Gomez disclosed to her fans and friends that she can not carry her own children because of health reasons.

The 32-year-old appeared at the recent Women in Film event, where she was a speaker and dropped helpful nuggets to the audience. First, she sent a warning to haters who had the most to say about her struggles of not being able to carry children and being bipolar to "kindly f—k off."

Gomez then expressed her desire to be a voice for women despite her status as a world-class celebrity. According to the star, everyone has their own struggles. The singer encouraged attendees and the audience to always ask for help when facing problems, adding, "There's power in being vulnerable."

Gomez admonished everyone, especially her little sister Gracie, who accompanied her to the stage, not to "ever let anyone tell you that you're not a good person." In her concluding statement, the singer said:

"Screw anyone who tells you you're a victim. You're a survivor in my book."

Despite her revelation, TMZ shared that Gomez reiterated her commitment to being a mom someday, hopefully with her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, who earlier expressed the same desire to start a family with her.

The performer confessed that her medical issues "would put my life and the baby's in jeopardy" and noted that it was something she "had to grieve for a while."

On how she would achieve her dream of motherhood someday, The Blast noted that Gomez would have to settle for surrogacy or adoption.

The actress continued that she is "in a more better place" with her reality and "find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption" which she described as both huge possibilities for her.

Gomez declared that she was "thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms" like herself. Now that she is one of them, the actress is excited about what that journey will look like.

"...at the end of the day, I don't care. It'll be mine. It'll be my baby," the Disney star concluded in the discussion.

Gomez also shared details of her relationship with singer Benny Blanco, stating that it was a new kind of love for her. The pair began their relationship in mid-2023 but kept things under wraps for a few months before revealing their little secret in December 2023.

Since their public debut, Gomez and Blanco have created the habit of sharing loved-up photographs of them on social media and sharing customized accessories. Gomez admitted:

"I've never been loved this way… He's just been a light. A complete light in my life. He's my best friend. I love telling him everything."

She also shared how his interview on "The Howard Stern Show" back in May about marrying her left her reeling with laughter and wondering if there was more Blanco wanted to tell the public.

Gomez revealed that she grew up thinking it would happen at that age, and knowing she was "nowhere near that- and couldn't be farther from it" wrecked her in the coming years.

The actress recalled that while her reaction was so stupid at that time, she genuinely thought her world was over.

Gomez also shared in the interview that she cried in her car one time because the medication prescribed for her bipolar disorder would likely affect her ability to carry children naturally.

The Rare Beauty CEO spoke about looking after her wellbeing after her lupus diagnosis in 2015. The complications from the illness took a toll on her mental health, leading to issues like anxiety, panic attacks, and depression.

"I'm 30, and I'm going to go through moments in my life," shared the 32-year-old in the Rolling Stone interview. The star actress confessed:

"If there is a silver lining, it's this, 'I remind myself that I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the psychotic break, if it wasn't for my lupus if it wasn't for my diagnosis.' I think I would just probably be another annoying entity that just wants to wear nice clothes all the time. I'm depressed thinking about who I would be."
