Luana Alonso, the 20-year-old swimming sensation from Paraguay, has once again captivated her fans, this time with a stunning Instagram post that showcased her toned physique!

The swimmer, known for her achievements in the pool and her growing social media presence, wowed followers by sharing a sun-drenched snap in a tiny red bikini.

In her recent Instagram Story, Alonso was seen soaking up the sun while taking a break from her university classes. She stood waist-deep in a swimming pool, flaunting her enviable figure in a vibrant red bikini. The image captured her side profile, highlighting her toned arms and core. With her eyes closed, Alonso appeared to enjoy the warmth of the sun, her skin glowing with a golden tan.

While Alonso often makes headlines for her athletic achievements, she recently found herself at the center of controversy during the Paris 2024 Olympics. Reports emerged that she had been asked to leave the Olympic Village for allegedly "creating an inappropriate atmosphere."

Larissa Schaerer, the head of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, claimed that Alonso complied with the request and spent the night at a hotel instead of the Athletes' Village.

However, Alonso swiftly denied these allegations, taking to Instagram to set the record straight.

"I was never removed or expelled from anywhere," she wrote in her Stories, calling the circulating rumors "false." She further clarified that the controversy stemmed from misunderstandings, including criticism over her choice of attire in the Olympic Village and her visit to Disneyland Paris during the games.

Amid the speculation, Alonso remains focused on her studies and swimming career. After the Paris Olympics, she returned to the United States, where she is currently attending Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas. This follows her previous stint at Virginia Tech before transferring to SMU. Alonso continues to juggle the demands of collegiate life with the dedication required for competitive swimming.

Her social media presence, where she frequently posts about her training, academic life, and personal adventures, reflects the balance she maintains between her professional and personal life.

Though her athletic journey has been filled with significant milestones, Alonso faced a disappointing end at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Competing in the women's 100m butterfly event, she finished sixth in her heat and did not advance to the semifinals. This was her second Olympic appearance, following her debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she finished 28th in the same event.

Despite these challenges, Alonso commemorated her Olympic journey with a tattoo of the Olympic rings on her right hip -- a symbol of pride she displayed in her recent bikini post. However, the Paris Games marked the end of her swimming career, as Alonso officially announced her retirement from the sport.

On July, following her Olympic performance, Alonso shared an emotional post on Instagram, announcing her retirement from competitive swimming.
