Prince Harry & Meghan Want To Get 'Every Eligible Voter Informed' Ahead Of US Presidential Election

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Foundation marked National Voter Registration Day with a call to empower voters and promote civic engagement.

On their website, the Sussexes shared a short message about the importance of voting, stressing the need to "make every eligible vote" count.

The message comes as Prince Harry prepares to return to the UK for an event without Meghan Markle.

In recognition of National Voter Registration Day, observed on September 17, the Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, issued a brief statement on its website.

The statement read in part: "Voting is not just a right; it's a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities. At The Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, no matter one's political party, is at the heart of a more just and equitable world. By participating in initiatives like this, we aim to amplify the message that every voice matters."

"Together, let's make sure every eligible voter is informed and empowered to participate in shaping America's future," it continued.

The foundation also mentioned hosting a volunteer event, where participants wrote letters encouraging potential voters to register.

Referring to the event as a "meaningful volunteer activity to support and empower our communities," they highlighted their use of Vote Forward's platform to create "personalized letters" for voters.

The post also included links to resources for checking voter registration status and spreading awareness about the importance of voting.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex mingled with Hollywood stars last Saturday to celebrate Tyler Perry's milestone birthday.

According to the Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan appeared to be in high spirits as they were pictured leaving a $31 million mansion where the event took place in the backseat of a black Range Rover.

Meghan's outfit couldn't be seen clearly from the outside, but Harry wore a grey suit. They reportedly arrived at the venue around 7 p.m. and partied for 4 hours before leaving around 11 p.m., accompanied by a security detail and an unknown friend.

An employee from a lighting company hired to help decorate the event reportedly observed "a lot of music, dancing, and singing" as he left.

"Lots of speeches and food too. Everyone was having a lot of fun. It was a good party. There were a lot of famous people but I cannot say any more," the source said.

Harry, who recently turned 40, is reportedly set to visit the UK later this month to attend a charity event—the annual WellChild Awards, where he has served as a patron for 16 years.

The WellChild Awards, a significant event in Harry's calendar when he was a working royal, celebrate the courage of children with severe health conditions and recognize the dedication of their families and caregivers.

In a statement, Harry revealed he was honored to be attending "this year's WellChild Awards celebrating the remarkable courage and achievements of children living with complex medical needs."

He added, "These incredible young people, along with the dedicated caregivers, nurses, and professionals who tirelessly support them, inspire us all. It is a true privilege to recognize such extraordinary individuals."

Unfortunately, according to the Daily Mail, Harry will likely be making the trip alone, as there has been no indication that Meghan will accompany him to the event.

Since their move to the US, Harry and Meghan have remained largely non-partisan, though they've leveraged their influence to spotlight causes they care deeply about.

In a rare interview with the New York Times, Meghan discussed the significance of her fashion choices and the impact they have on the industry.

She said, "Times where I know there is a global spotlight, and attention will be given to each detail of what I may or may not be wearing, then I support designers that I have really great friendships with, and smaller, up-and-coming brands that haven't gotten the attention that they should be getting."

The duchess added: "That's one of the most powerful things that I'm able to do, and that's simply wearing, like, an earring."

Meghan recalled a memorable moment when her support for Strathberry, a fashion brand, allowed the company to expand its workforce. The impact of that experience, she said, "changed everything in terms of how I then looked at putting an outfit together."

Thanks to the success of their previous quasi-royal tours, the Sussexes are reportedly considering going on a third tour this year.

Though they have not officially confirmed any plans or potential destinations for a new tour, it's speculated that countries like Lesotho and Botswana are under consideration.

Harry last visited these countries in 2019 and is rumored to be considering a return, as they are closely linked to his charity, Sentebale. The charity's first initiative was established in Lesotho in 2006 in collaboration with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, while the Botswana project was launched in 2016.

An insider told Hello! that the Duke is well-positioned to continue participating in such tours alongside his wife, as he is accustomed to them.

They said, "That's his world, that's what he's used to, and that's what he knows. He can still add value."
