Jennifer Lopez is proving that her Hollywood career remains unstoppable as she secures the lead role in an upcoming Netflix romantic comedy.
The actress is currently busy with the promo for her new film, "Unstoppable," which premiered at TIFF in early September.
Amid Jennifer Lopez's divorce from Ben Affleck, the pair were recently seen enjoying a family outing with their kids at the popular Beverly Hills Hotel.
Jennifer Lopez Is Set To Star In Netflix Rom-Com Alongside Brett Goldstein
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lopez has been tapped to star in a new Netflix romantic comedy titled "Office Romance" alongside "Ted Lasso" actor Brett Goldstein. However, concrete work has not begun on the project, as the news outlet says a director has not yet been attached to it.
Goldstein is reportedly writing the script with Joe Kelly, but the plot of the film remains unknown.
Lopez has carved a niche for herself in the romantic comedy space after starring in popular movies such as "The Wedding Planner" and "Maid in Manhattan."
The upcoming film comes after her work in director Brad Peyton's Netflix sci-fi flick "Atlas," opposite Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown, as well as the 2023 action film "The Mother" for director Niki Caro.
Lopez also recently attended the premiere of her latest movie, "Unstoppable," at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Jennifer Lopez Was Recently Spotted With Her Estranged Husband Ben Affleck
Amid their ongoing divorce, the "Jenny From The Block" singer was recently seen having brunch with Affleck and their children at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Lopez filed to divorce the Oscar winner on August 20, the second wedding anniversary of their less than 2-year marriage.
According to Page Six, an insider said Affleck "couldn't keep his hands off" her at their meetup and that the embattled couple are "still attracted to one another."
The insider claimed it was Affleck's idea for them to meet for brunch, as he wanted to show that they were still "friends."
"Once they were together, he could not keep his hands off," the source said. "They have always had a lot of sexual chemistry. That was not planned. They are still attracted to one another."
"It was Ben Affleck's idea to meet there," the insider noted. "He wanted to show that they are friendly exes. He wanted those photos. You go there when you want to be seen. Paparazzi hang out there."
The Couple Is Still Moving Forward With Their Divorce
Rumors that Lopez and Affleck were beginning to work on their marriage have since surfaced following their cozy dinner date picture.
However, a source disclosed that the gesture doesn't mean they're reconciling as they intend to proceed with their divorce.
"They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out," a source told People Magazine. "[Lopez is] trying to be friendly with Ben. They are still moving forward with the divorce though. They are working out financial details amicably."
The source continued, "A divorce is never easy, but Jennifer doesn't want to be selfish about it. The kids always got along and had fun together. It makes her happy seeing the kids happy together. Happy kids are her priority."
Jennifer Lopez Calls Herself A 'Bad Picker' At TIFF
During Lopez's appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival, she appeared to poke fun at herself, joking that she is prone to making the wrong choice in relationships.
While speaking with her "Unstoppable" co-star Bobby Cannavale, the actress labeled herself a "bad picker," seemingly referencing how all her attempts at marriage have crashed.
And despite Cannavale appearing not to hear her the first time, Lopez didn't hesitate to repeat herself multiple times, laughing a little as if amused by her relationship troubles.

She further elaborated on her admission, saying, "It is what it is," which hinted that she had accepted the fate of her current marriage.
However, the actress avoided discussing the details of her ongoing divorce from Affleck, continuing to remain silent as she has since rumors first began swirling about their marital troubles.
The Couple Is Trying To Sell Their Marital Mansion
Before Lopez and Affleck's separation was confirmed, the duo had been trying to sell their massive marital mansion in Beverly Hills.
The luxurious property was purchased in May 2023 and was listed on the market in July 2024 for $68 million.
While it is unclear when a sale will finally occur, sources revealed that buying the house in the first place was not Lopez's idea, despite her investing a lot of time in searching for one at the time.
"The $68 million mansion was Ben's idea," explained an insider about the marital home purchase, per People. Apparently, Lopez prefers the "romantic, Spanish, European vibe," which made choosing the Beverly Hills mansion a "major compromise for her."
They added, "She agreed to it because of its spacious layout, accommodating both their families, a gym and a pickleball court, office space, plus it has two private entrances."
