Kelly Osbourne is taking it one day at a time.
The 36-year-old star came clean on Monday, April 20, when she announced that she relapsed after nearly 4-years of sobriety. Osbourne took to her Instagram story to open up about her recent struggle in an effort to be transparent with her fans. “This is a little hard for me to talk about, but I’ve always promised you that I will always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my road to recovery,” she said.
“I relapsed,” Kelly said during her emotional confession. “Not proud of it, but I’m back on track.”
Kelly had her hair up in two buns and tried to hide her sad eyes with an IG filter. The daughter of Ozzy and Sharon said she would be revealing more information on her podcast but wanted to assure everyone that she is still fighting. “I’m sober today, and I’m gonna be sober tomorrow,” Osbourne announced. “I’ve learned it truly is one day at a time, and I wanted to tell you guys the truth. ‘Cause I never ever want to lie to you.”
The somber star ended her revelation by thanking her followers for their love and support.
Kelly first revealed she was on the road to recovery in 2018 when she announced that she was one year sober. The tv star has been very open and candid about her addiction struggles and made it a point to share her sober milestones with her 2.3 million fans on Instagram.
On August 9, 2019, she posted a screenshot from her Twelve Steps app that said she was 2 years sober. She penned a touching thank you message to her supporters at the time.
“I woke up this morning feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. I can’t even put into words how much my life has changed over the last 2 years.” Kelly continued, “To the friends and family that have supported me on this Journey thank you I love you all so much. If you are new to sobriety stick to it life really does get good. ?”
