Gabby Windey says she’s “fiery and spicy” so her new partnership just makes sense.
Windey recently teamed up with Flamin' Hot to help fans get the opportunity to win a “burner phone” that’s preloaded with a year’s worth of cell phone coverage and a direct line to nab some spicy snacks to your door.
Windey recently sat down with The Blast to talk about her spicy side, past reality shows, upcoming projects, and her podcast.
Gabby Windey Talks 'Spicy' While Encouraging Fans To 'Cheat'
Windey, who said she’s known for her “fiery and spicy personality,” wants to help fans “cheat” with a "burner phone." Partnering with Flamin’ Hot was a “natural, perfect fit” for her.
“They’re known for their fiery and spicy chips, and I’m known for my fiery and spicy personality, if I do say so myself,” Windey told The Blast. “There’s 25 Flamin’ Hot products, other chips, and I’m known for having 25 boyfriends on TV at once. Flamin’ Hot is just encouraging you to cheat on Hot Cheetos with some other chips.”
To help the cheating along, fans can enter a sweepstakes to win a "burner phone" with a year’s worth of service on it.
“What you do with that is none of my business,” Windey joked. “But you can have any of those Flamin’ Hot products on speed dial to get delivered right to your door.”
Gabby Windey Likes It Hot!
To enter for a chance at a burner phone, fans can visit the "Dancing with the Stars" alum's Instagram page now through November 30 or can visit FlaminHotUniversity.com.
“There’s a little quiz. It’s like a matchmaking quiz that you can see which chips might fit your needs best,” she continued. “There’s kind of a chip for every person. And it’s like a fun BuzzFeed quiz. I feel like everyone loves taking quizzes about themselves.”
As for Windey’s favorite hot snack, she said that’s a tough one to pinpoint.
“It is really hard to choose. I tried most of them when we were shooting but I love Doritos,” she said. “Always have, and the Flamin’ Hot Doritos are no different. They’re delicious.”
Recalling Some Favorite Moments From Her Time On Reality TV
While Windey has many fond memories from her time on “The Bachelorette” and “Dancing With The Stars,” she said a few moments stand out for her.
As far as “The Bachelorette,” she recalls an empowering moment that sticks out for her.
“We had an iconic breakup. I told him where to go, how to do it, and just really stuck up for myself,” she said. “And I feel like a lot of other women have been in my position, so that will always go down in history for me.”
As for her time on “Dancing with the Stars,” Windey said her favorite dance was the samba because it was “hot, fiery, spicy, just like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.”
“Those were some good moments," she said. "Things that I’ll always look back on."
Gabby Windey Walked Her First Show At NYFW
Windey recently had the opportunity to walk in New York Fashion Week. And while it’s an exciting week filled with late-night parties, Windey wasn’t about all that.
“I gotta be in bed by 10, preferably by 9, with my skincare on, so everybody knows I’m not cut out for it,” she explained. “Pretty much skipped all the parties. You could not get me to leave the house for a step-and-repeat.”
The coolest thing for Windey during the week was that Ella Emhoff, Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter was there, which meant Secret Service was everywhere.
“That was really grabbing my attention,” she said. “I’m like, fashion, clothes, love, yes, but exclusivity, Secret Service, that is really getting my attention.”
What's Next For The Reality Star?
One thing that's been keeping the reality star busy is her podcast, "Long Winded."
"It's still newer. I think it kind of complements what people already know about me. I think I'm known for being different. I was the first one on the 'Bachelor' that really showcased I didn't come from a nuclear family. I didn't have a traditional childhood, so I think that really resonated with people," she told The Blast.
"And on the podcast, I get to talk about all my opinions, unhinged or not, and just what's going on in my life."
She also said that since she's in her first lesbian relationship, she talking about her journey.
"It's been pretty liberating to talk about my sexuality and my journey and talk to other people who have gone through a similar thing," she said. "I did figure it out late in life so I'm searching for resources and I'm like where's all the lesbian content? Nobody talks about this. We're still all hiding under rocks, so it's nice to bring it to more of a mainstream place."
Windey also just filmed the upcoming season of "Traitors" in June. The new season will begin airing in January.
"It's like a murder mystery game where you can see all of your favorite reality TV show contestants play a whodunit. But it felt very real," she explained. "We're in Scotland filming in a castle, just really do not know who you can trust, what's going on. So it was just such a fun experience, something I had never done before. And the drama is unhinged. Grown men take murder mysteries very seriously, so it might be the most dramatic show I've been on to date."
