Breakups are not always heart breaking, sometimes people move on very quickly like nothing ever happened.
Other times, people need enough time to heal and move on. And off course there’s always a possibility of reconciliation which in some cases end up in a breakup again.
The worst blow is when you are still in recovery and ur former partner finds someone else. But nevertheless what is meant to be would always be.
Recently, Danica Patrick opened up about her split from Aaron Rodgers and how heartbroken she felt. Read below for more details.
Danica & Aaron’s Love Story
Patrick, a former NASCAR driver and Rodgers a Green Bay quarterback first met each other back in 2012 at the ESPYs.
Although they remained friends for a while, their relationship was confirmed in 2018 by Patrick. At that time, the two had just ended their relationships with previous partners.
Their union seemed like one made in heaven. Rodgers, who was often private about his love life from the get-go, was comfortable posting pictures of himself and his love on social media.
Rumors of possible marriage spread fast like a burning bush, but sadly, that didn’t happen.
The Split
They both ended their two-year relationship to the dismay of many fans who were hoping to hear wedding bells soon.
What was more shocking was that Patrick kept talking about the marriage that never happened.
After the news broke out, she shared a lot of emotional messages on social media relating to relationships and the things that culd go wrong or right in it.
During an interview on "The Rachael Hollis Show," she said;
“At the beginning of the last relationship. I was like, ‘Look. You either grow together; one grows and one doesn’t or you grow apart. I have never experienced growth without pain.”
Patrick Talks Heartbreak
Patrick disclosed that she was heartbroken after the break up and her thoughts on relationships changed. She said this during an episode of “Running Wild With Bear Grylls.”
“I think we learn the most about ourselves through relationships, but there’s nothing like heartbreak to really throw you in the deep end of that,” she explained.
Although it was and is still a difficult time for the former race car driver, she's thankful for the love and support that she's received from her family and loved ones.
On the other hand Rodgers, who might be hurting too, quickly found love with American actress, Shailene Woodley.
Moving On
Rodgers announced his engagement to Woodley at the annual NFL Honors following his MVP win. Two weeks later, during his appearance on the "Tonight Show," he made the announcement again.
Moments after the announcement, Patrick took to her Instagram page, to post a message about relationships and the things that people can watch out for.
She noted that people get only what they deserve in relationships and that when they change, they should expect that a lot of things will change too.
Fans expect to see Rodgers and Woodley married soon enough.
