Dave Grohl's wife, Jordyn Blum, was recently seen without her wedding ring while out in Los Angeles.
The outing came before the Foo Fighters singer admitted to fathering a child outside his 21-year-old marriage to Blum, with whom he shares three daughters.
In his statement, Dave Grohl expressed his commitment to regaining his family's trust; however, his marriage may be ending, as he has reportedly hired a divorce attorney.
Did Jordyn Blum Hint At Her Marital Troubles By Ditching Her Wedding Ring?
Blum seemingly ditched her ring weeks before her rockstar husband revealed he had an affair, resulting in the birth of a child outside their marriage.
According to a photo obtained by the New York Post, she was spotted in early August walking in Los Angeles alongside Grohl without her ring, leading many to believe it hinted at their marital woes.
Reports surfaced on Wednesday that Grohl had already consulted a divorce attorney ahead of publicly acknowledging his infidelity. In a statement shared on social media, the musician admitted, "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage."
He added: "I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."
The Foo Fighters frontman closed his message with a request for privacy, stating, "We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."
Dave Grohl And Jordyn Blum Celebrated 21 Years Of Marriage
Blum and Grohl first met in 2001 at a bar in West Hollywood, California.
Reflecting on their early relationship during a 2007 Elle interview, Grohl shared, "When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates, and I decided that I wasn't ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling."
However, Grohl changed his mind a few months later and called Blum again. "She answered and said, 'Oh, I never thought I'd hear from you again,'" Grohl recalled.
After nearly two years of dating, they tied the knot on August 2, 2003, at their home in Los Angeles. The event boasted a celebrity guest list, including Clive Davis and Grohl's former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic.
Recently, the couple marked their 21st wedding anniversary. They share three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
Before Blum, Grohl was married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood from 1994 to 1997.
Violet Grohl Steps Back From Social Media Amid Father's Revelations
Amid the revelation that the "Learn to Fly" singer fathered a child outside the marriage, his daughter Violet appeared to have deactivated her Instagram account. It remains unclear exactly when she took down the page.
In June 2023, Grohl and Violet took the stage together at the Glastonbury Festival. The rockstar introduced his eldest daughter to the crowd, calling her "my favorite singer in the world" before they performed "Show Me How," a track from the Foo Fighters' latest album, "But Here We Are."
The song was written in memory of Grohl's mother, Violet's grandmother.
After the heartfelt performance, Grohl proudly shouted, "That's my girl!" and playfully joked, "I love it when you're on stage with your daughter and hit a bad note," per the New York Post.
The Rockstar Reflects On Fatherhood: How Family Life Changed His Perspective And Music
Grohl has occasionally opened up about his family life over the years. In a 2007 interview with The Guardian, he shared how much his wife, Blum, and daughter, Violet, meant to him, saying, "Jordyn and Violet are the anchors that keep me from completely disappearing."
Speaking to Time in 2010, Grohl reflected on how fatherhood changed his perspective: "I used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don't like being away from my kids for more than 12 days."
He revealed that becoming a parent shifted his priorities, saying, "When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It's inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting."
Dave Grohl Shut Down Viral Post Claiming To Be The Mother Of His Child
After Grohl shocked the world by admitting to cheating on Blum and fathering a child outside their marriage, the drama escalated when a social media user posted a photo of a baby girl, claiming she was the child fathered by the musician.
The post, accompanied by a lengthy caption, showed the child holding hands with a woman, presumably the mother.
It also claimed that Grohl was present throughout the pregnancy, ensuring both mother and child were taken care of and that the child closely resembled the Foo Fighters frontman.
After the post went viral, the user behind the Instagram account @valeriegreyson deleted it, but not before it sparked widespread speculation about whether the baby was indeed the love child Grohl admitted to fathering.
However, a rep for Grohl has come out to slam the claim as "fake news" and that the child was not in any way connected to the Foo Fighters frontman, per TMZ.
