Certainly, social media has opened up a direct channel of communication between fans and their favorite stars. Sometimes though, when that star posts something that certain people don't like fans and trolls alike will let them know. For the most part, those comments go ignored.
We just learned two things from the events of the last couple of days. Madonna is one of those celebs that does read her comment section. Number two, apparently the 62-year-old is not afraid to get her hands dirty when she needs to.

Sadly, in the past few days, we've seen another uptick in police brutality cases and other people being outright murdered by police officers. These incidents have no doubt sparked the gun control debate once again.
Madonna decided to post a video that is aimed at both exhibiting the mistakes of law enforcement while promoting gun control. As with any strong opinion or even opinion in general that celebs have it sparked reactions on both sides of the argument. Here is the post in question. Be warned it does contain explicit images.

In response to the post, an Instagram user criticized Madonna's double standard. In her view, Madonna was asking for gun control when she had security that used guns to protect her. The comment reads as follows.
"I would bet you have people with guns to protect you and your family. But the little people can be left unarmed,” she wrote. “If you take the guns away criminals will ALWAYS find weapons. The rest of us innocent people will be victims. You live behind walls with protection. You do not live in the real world.”
Upon reading the post it's safe to say that Madonna was not happy at all. The 62 yeard old showed that she still has a pretty feisty side no doubt writing,
"B***h I don’t have any security or armed guards around me. Come see me and tell me to my face how not real world is. I dare you. You know nothing about me or my life. The only criminals I see right now are the police who are paid to protect the people. But police are protected by judges and the criminal justice system which is a joke because there is no justice if you are a person of color. Of course, your name is Karen.”

This interaction is certainly not the first or the last time we'll see celebrities get into it on social media with regular folks. About a week back Cher went through something similar on Twitter. At the end of that exchange, Cher ended up issuing an apology. Madonna has never been known for being politically correct. So don't expect one from her.
Apparently, though, more celebs than we know read their comment section. Who knows if they're trolled hard enough anyone could break. With Madonna, that's just something that is going to happen from time to time.
