After recently admitting to welcoming a love child, Dave Grohl has denied claims that a viral post showing a baby is the child in question.
The since-deleted post was shared on Instagram by the alleged mother alongside a caption that linked Grohl as the father.
The post also claimed that the Foo Fighters frontman was by her side throughout the entire pregnancy and that the child's name was Roxie.
Amid the drama surrounding Dave Grohl's news, it has been mentioned that the musician retained a divorce counsel, hinting that he might be weighing his possibilities.
Dave Grohl Claims He Isn't The Father Of The Baby In A Viral Post
After Grohl shocked the world by admitting to cheating on his wife, Jordyn Blum, and fathering a child outside their marriage, the drama escalated when a social media user posted a photo of a baby girl, claiming she was the child fathered by the musician.
The post, accompanied by a lengthy caption, showed the child holding hands with a woman, presumably the mother.
It also claimed that Grohl was present throughout the pregnancy, ensuring both mother and child were taken care of and that the child closely resembled the Foo Fighters frontman.
Shortly after the post went viral, the user behind the Instagram account @valeriegreyson deleted it, but not before it sparked widespread speculation about whether the baby was indeed the love child Grohl admitted to fathering.
However, a rep for Grohl has come out to slam the claim as "fake news" and that the child was not in any way connected to the Foo Fighters frontman, per TMZ.
The Musician Wants To Be A 'Loving And Supportive' Parent To His Love Child
The mother and child's identity remains unknown at this time, aside from Grohl's confirmation that the child is a girl.
It comes after the musician took to his Instagram Stories to admit the situation while also pledging to take responsibility for his role as a father to his love child, per TMZ.
He wrote, "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her."
The news of the baby seems to have put a strain on Grohl's relationship with his wife and their children, Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
In his post, the musician mentioned that he is focused on "doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."
Grohl also asked his followers to take his family into "consideration" as they "move forward together."
Dave Grohl Has Reportedly Retained A Divorce Lawyer
Still, it appears that Grohl's marriage to Blum might be heading for the rocks, with reports claiming that he recently retained a divorce attorney.
Though it's unclear if his decision was directly linked to the love child drama, People Magazine confirmed that Grohl sought legal counsel before making his shocking admission on social media.
Meanwhile, Blum has yet to comment on her husband's indiscretion, and it is yet to be known whether she is also currently weighing her options regarding a divorce.
The two have been married since 2003 and might have included a prenup when they tied the knot.
Such a legal arrangement would also determine how the couple's assets will be divided if they decide to end their marriage, particularly if they are unable to resolve the issues arising from Grohl's indiscretion.
The Couple Were Spotted Looking Tense In A Recent Outing
Last month, the couple was spotted out and about in Los Angeles dressed in all-black outfits. The mood between the duo was tense, and interestingly, Grohl's wife was without her wedding ring.
They also distanced themselves as they walked the streets, Blum choosing to focus on pressing her phone while Grohl smoked a cigar.
The vibe during the outing contrasted with the duo's more bubbly appearance at Wimbledon in London in July.
The couple appeared in high spirits, chatting and laughing animatedly while enjoying the competition from their priced Royal Box seats alongside other high-profile attendees.
However, they weren't seen showing off any PDA, which didn't raise any eyebrows at the time.
Dave Grohl's Romance With Jordyn Blum
Blum and Grohl first crossed paths at a bar in West Hollywood, California 2001.
In a 2007 interview with Elle, the rockstar shared a story about their early relationship, stating: "When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates, and I decided that I wasn't ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling."
Three months later, he had a change of heart and decided to call her again.
"She picked up the phone and said, 'Oh, I never thought I'd hear from you again,'" Grohl recalled.
After nearly two years of dating, the couple exchanged vows on August 2, 2003, at their Los Angeles home, and just last month, they celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary.
