Taylor Swift has finally broken her silence following the fiery Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, revealing her vote will be going to the current Vice President.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of some online drama, where fans slammed Taylor for hugging Brittany Mahomes, who's been quietly showing love for Trump in recent weeks.
Taylor Swift’s endorsement on Tuesday quickly gained traction, and even Hollywood got in on the action—legendary actress Jamie Lee Curtis reposted Taylor's statement, throwing her own support behind both the superstar and Kamala Harris.

On Wednesday, after seeing Taylor Swift's endorsement on social media, "Freaky Friday" actress Jamie Lee Curtis reshared the post, publicly supporting both the pop star and the Presidential candidate.
Curtis has previously shown support for the Harris-Walz campaign, telling reporters that she feels "great" after Harris chose Walz as her running mate.
“Did you hear his great speech? He made a statement that made me rise up. He was talking about the other side, and he was saying what women do to their bodies is none of your damn business," Jamie Lee Curtis said, per Variety. "That was like a rocket. I was like, ‘Oh, daddy! Let’s go!’ He really feels like the perfect choice.”
She also endorsed Harries shortly after Joe Biden dropped out of the race, telling her fans, "I support wholeheartedly @joebiden and his decision to step down and to endorse unreservedly @kamalaharris."
"SHE IS TRUSTED AND TESTED and she is a fierce advocate for women's rights and people of color and her message is one of HOPE and UNITY for America at her time of great national divide," Jamie Lee Curtis added at the time.
Taylor Swift Endorses Kamala Harris
Just moments after the Presidential debate on Tuesday, Taylor Swift finally broke her silence regarding the upcoming election, announcing that she will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the upcoming election.
"Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most," she began. "As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country."
"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election," the pop star continued. "I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."
Taylor then commented on Tim Walz's beliefs and stance on LGBTQ+ rights and IVF, telling her fan base that she "was so heartened and impressed by [Harris'] selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades."
Taylor Swift Comments On AI Photos Of Her 'Supporting' Donald Trump
Back in August, billionaire politician Donald Trump stirred up controversy on his social media platform, Truth Social, by sharing doctored photos of Taylor Swift and her fans. The misleading images were paired with messages that falsely portrayed the pop icon as a Trump supporter, sparking outrage among Swifties.
Taylor, who has been known for her outspoken views, stayed silent at the time, but she has now addressed those AI images.
"Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation," she wrote while endorsing Kamala Harris. "It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth."
Taylor Swift Has 'Done Her Research' And Has 'Made Her Choice'
The "22" singer later told her fan base that she had "done her research, and she made her choice."
"Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make," Taylor said on social media. "I also want to say, especially to first-time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early."
Taylor Swift Takes Jab At J.D. Vance
Taylor then took one last dig at the Trump campaign, specifically at J.D. Vance, by signing her endorsement, "Taylor Swift. Childless Cat Lady."
Vance, the U.S. Senator from Ohio and Trump's running mate, made controversial comments about “childless cat ladies” in July 2021 during a speech at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute’s National Conservatism Conference. He argued that society gives too much power and authority to people who are childless, while parents—who he believes have a greater vested interest in the nation’s long-term success—are underrepresented in shaping policies.
His comments were widely criticized for being sexist and dismissive of people who choose not to have children or cannot have them.
