Taylor Swift Throws Shade At J.D. Vance In Her Instagram Post
In Swift's viral Instagram post endorsing Harris for president, she did not hesitate to throw shade at Trump's running mate, J.D. Vance, who once made a controversial comment about women in the Democratic Party.
In a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson, Vance had said the party was made up of "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too."
He also mentioned that some of the individuals he referred to were Harris, U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
In what many consider to be a jab at the Ohio senator, Swift concluded her lengthy post on Instagram by branding herself a "childless cat lady."
The "Out of the Woods" singer is known for her love for cats and owns three: Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button.
Other Top Stars Have Criticized J.D. Vance For His 'Childless Cat Lady' Comment
Besides Swift, several other top Hollywood stars criticized Vance, who found his "childless cat lady" remark shocking.
Actress Jennifer Aniston took to her Instagram story to blast the senator while expressing shock that he made such remarks.
"I truly can't believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States," Aniston wrote, per Variety. "All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children one day."
The actress then pointed out Vance's vote against the Right to IVF Act, which aims to safeguard access to IVF services nationwide. She expressed her hope that the senator's stance would not one day prevent his child from having children if she ever faces fertility issues.
Anniston added, "I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too."
Singer Kesha followed suit as she ripped into the politician for his comments, noting that they were "sexist." She told TMZ, "'F-ck that man! That's all I have to say. F-ck them all."
Actress Lupita Nyong'o also took a subtle jab at Vance by labeling herself a "#ChildlessCatLady" while celebrating her cat, Yoyo's third birthday in August.
Taylor Swift Says She Will Be Voting For Kamala Harris And Tim Walz
Swift broke her silence on the upcoming election by boldly throwing her support behind Harris and Walz.
She took to her Instagram page, saying, "Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven't already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country."
The singer then noted that AI images of her shared by Trump "conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation," and made her conclude that she needs to be "very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter."
"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election," Swift added. "I'm voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."

Swift previously spoke out against Trump and once condemned the ex-president's comments regarding protesters in 2020.
The singer tweeted at the time: "After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? 'When the looting starts the shooting starts'??? We will vote you out in November."
That same year, she posted a picture of herself holding a tray of freshly baked cookies, which had the words "Biden/Harris 2020" written on them with blue, white, and red frosting.
