Tyreek Hill was doing the most in his McLaren 720S, according to the bookings he received with his arrest.

On Sunday, the athlete received two traffic citations when law enforcement officers pulled him over for exceeding the required speed limit on the highway.

Tyreek Hill's encounter with the traffic officers reportedly got heated during the routine stop as he made his way to the Miami Dolphins vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game.

The 30-year-old was given two tickets for careless driving and failing to wear his seat belt on his way to the NFL season-opening game. "High rate of speed visual estimation 60 MPH, no seat belt. High traffic of pedestrians and vehicles," stated one of the officers on the offender's ticket.

Although the tickets did not mandate Hill's appearance in court, he was billed $308 in fines if found guilty. Paying up should be zero hassles for the NFL superstar, who signed a four-year, $120 million extension with $72.2 million guaranteed.

However, things got complicated as body camera footage showed Hill being defensive and argumentative with the cops. The officers pushed back by grabbing him out of the vehicle and putting him face down on the ground.

He was eventually allowed to leave the scene and head to the game, where he made seven catches, including an 80-yard reception, to score a touchdown and secure the Miami Dolphins' victory.

Per TMZ, one of the officers has been assigned to man the desk while the brass continues to observe the situation. Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has also called on the officers involved to be let off their jobs.

The Player Was Slammed For Careless Driving And Refusing To Work With The Police

In their defense, the South Florida Police Benevolent Association alleged that the 30-year-old drove recklessly before being stopped by officers on his way to the game venue.

The Blast reported that the president of the association, which represents over 6,000 law enforcement officers in Florida, claimed Hills "put himself and others in a great risk of danger" and refused to cooperate with local authorities.

In their statement, the president noted that Hill was placed in handcuffs because he refused to be "immediately cooperative with the officers on the scene."

"Mr. Hill, still uncooperative, refused to sit on the ground and was therefore redirected to the ground. Once the situation was sorted out within a few minutes, Mr. Hill was issued two traffic citations and was free to leave," the SFLPBA concluded.

The Association Threw Their Weight Behind The Cops

The body reiterated its unwavering support for "the actions of the officers" but expressed hope for further talks as the investigation continued into the case.

The Miami-Dade Police Department Director Stephanie V. Daniels disclosed that she had started an "Internal Affairs Investigation" to ensure a detailed review of the case.

As a result, Daniels confirmed that "one of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is being conducted."

The director reiterated her commitment to ensure transparency and accountability to the community with any case involving officers in her jurisdiction.

Tyreek Hill Reacted With An 'Arrest-Themed' Celebration

The 30-year-old chose a creative way to retaliate against the officers who pulled him over on his way to the game.

Hill celebrated his 80-yard pass touchdown in the third quarter of the home game by mimicking his arrest alongside his teammate Jaylen Waddle, who pretended to slap cuffs on Hill’s wrists.

The Miami Dolphins wide receiver then walked along the wall of people in the end zone with his hands behind his back.

Hill’s playful reaction to his arrest was a significant shift from his unpleasant mood following the encounter. Rosenhaus earlier claimed the NFL star was “okay, very upset, but he’s okay.”
