'1000-Lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton Opens Up About Her Biggest Struggle With Weight Loss

Tammy Slaton, known for her impressive weight loss journey, is opening up about her struggles with maintaining her progress, revealing one of the "toughest parts" of her transformation.

This revelation comes after the "1000-Lb Sisters" star celebrated the massive 2,078-pound weight loss alongside her fellow "weight loss warriors" just last month. 

Tammy Slaton continues to inspire others with her latest endorsement, proving her health journey is far from over. 

The 38-year-old reality star took to Instagram on Monday to share that taking vitamins has never been her favorite part of her weight loss journey, but she has found a solution for those facing the same challenge.

In the candid video, Tammy revealed she teamed up with her surgeon, Dr. Eric Smith, to promote his latest creation, Bari Bar Balance, a vitamin line specifically designed for bariatric patients.

Tammy shared her excitement about the new product, explaining that the vitamins are made specifically for those who have undergone bariatric surgery.

"I want you to know that if you're on a bariatric journey, we finally have vitamins for us," the star excitedly shared, noting how they are tailored to each individual's procedure.  

In her caption, Tammy reiterated her earlier words before letting fans know where they could purchase the drugs. 

The TV personality's Instagram post had fans buzzing excitedly as they celebrated her continued dedication to her health journey.

"Tammy, I've followed you from the beginning. I am so proud of you! And now you help others on their journey! You're such a blessing," one fan commented, echoing the sentiments of many others.

"It's so great seeing you happy and healthy. You did that thing!" another fan cheered, while a third could not help but gush over Tammy's glowing appearance. Supporters continued to offer encouragement with messages like, "Stay strong, lovely lady," and "So proud of you, Tammy!" 

One fan even complimented her outfit, adding, "Happy for you. And that is such a cute outfit."

Tammy has consistently inspired fans as she proudly documents her remarkable weight loss journey on social media. One noteworthy moment occurred last month when she revealed that she had lost 500 pounds.

The Blast shared that in a reposted TikTok video, Tammy and six of her friends — whom she dubbed "weight loss warriors"— came together to celebrate their combined achievement of shedding 2,078 pounds. 

Set to Andra Day's empowering anthem "Rise Up," the video featured each woman stepping into the frame as on-screen text showed each weight loss. Tammy made an appearance, proudly showcasing her 500-pound transformation before the group joined hands and raised them in solidarity. 

The video closed with the inspiring message, "In total, we have lost 2,078 lbs!" In the caption, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude for her friends, writing:

"Truly absolutely amazing ladies, and I'm happy to call y'all all my friends. I'm so proud of each and every one of y'all. Not only are you beautiful on the inside, but you're gorgeous on the outside. Never forget."

Like the overwhelming response to her recent vitamins video, fans flooded the comments section of Tammy's TikTok to celebrate her impressive feat. 

"This is so inspirational, all of you! But Tammy! You take the cake!! So happy for you, young woman," one follower wrote.

The praise continued to pour in with comments like, "You are an absolute inspiration" and "I'm seriously SO proud of you, Tammy! What an accomplishment!!"

One particularly emotional fan added, "Tammy babe, you're doing all the things you never thought you could. Slay girl," while another shared, "I'm crying 😭 so damn proud of you, Tammy! YOU DID THAT GIRL! YOU DID THAT.

While Tammy often receives support, it is not always the case. In December, The Blast reported that Tammy tearfully responded to a hurtful comment from an internet troll.

The person criticized her voice and appearance, cruelly asking about her breathing and whether she planned to remove her "gobbler."

Fighting back tears, Tammy called the comment "so rude" and explained that her doctors would determine when she was ready for surgery. "I'm proud of myself," she shared, acknowledging that although she still struggles with self-image, she is learning to embrace her journey.

Tammy further explained that her breathing in the video was quieter because of her respect for sleeping family members. Despite the hurtful remarks, she ended the video positively, wishing her followers a Merry Christmas and encouraging them to have a "great day."
