In the last couple of days, it had been reported that Sylvester Stallone had joined the Mar-A-Lago club. The property is famously owned by former President Donald Trump. The news certainly garnered Stallone some negative backlash from the anti-Trump crowd.
Now though the actor has fired back posting on Instagram that the whole thing was a lie. He mentions that he did not attend Mar-A-Lago and that he is not going to become a member of the exclusive club. Who's telling the truth?

The news wasn't all that surprising to many people because Stallone had actually visited President Trump in the White House back in 2018. At the time the pair took pictures together and seemed to be having a decent time in the ordeal.
Obvisouly this lead to many folks assuming that Stallone was a die-hard Trump supporter. With the tense political climate that loomed over the country at the time, the event ultimately garnered Stallone some backlash. Now with this news folks were getting ready to boycott some of the actor's upcoming movies.

In his movie characters, Stallone usually plays the tough guy who takes no prisoners and apologizes to no one. In real life though, and particularly in this situation, he was not as carefree when it came to what people think about him. In a statement that accompanied the picture Stallone mentioned,
"I would like to say to everyone that this never happened. This is just not true. It NEVER ever happened..I mean no disrespect to anyone, I’m simply not a member .. So Keep Punching Folks"
While also responding to a user comment with,
"Nothing is wrong. It's whether the truth is reported or not. That's the issue".

In a follow-up statement still in that same Instagram post where Stallone denied the claims that he was buying a Mar-A-Lago home the actor clearly pointed the finger at a particular news outlet which he claims was to blame for the leak. Writing,
"And unreliable “source” Gave it to the New York post. It’s sad because it’s a complete and utter false hood."
At this point in time, it's not clear whether Stallone is going to pursue any type of legal action against the publication or not.
Whether or not Stallone was at Mar-A-Lago or not is certainly debatable. What isn't up for debate is the fact that the 74-year-old is very much still active. In the past few days, he announced that he was not going to be returning to play his iconic character Rocky in the new Creed movie. He was though working on a director's cut for one of the previous Rocky films.
Also, he is set to play a role in the new Suicide Squad movie as he will be lending his voice to the character King Shark. Fans would have to boycott quite a few movies if Stallone ends up on the naughty list.
