Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga, may be facing marital struggles amid the currently airing 11th season of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." But, according to a new report, fans of the couple can rest assured that they are not going to be splitting up anytime soon.
Amid their on-camera marriage strife, an insider spoke to Us Weekly, revealing that when it comes to Melissa and Joe, "they’re like Bonnie and Clyde."
"They’re a package deal and have to be together to be for the show,” the source told the magazine on April 5.
Melissa Gorga And Joe Gorga Aren't A Perfect Couple
“They do love each other immensely, but they’re finally just sharing with viewers that they have issues they have to work through. … They’re not a perfect couple,” the insider explained.
In the years since they wed in 2004, Melissa and Joe have not only started a family and grown as husband and wife but also as individuals, which has posed challenges for them.
“They got married when they were in their early 20s, and it’s obvious that they’ve both changed," the insider shared.
Joe Gorga Doesn't Want Melissa Gorga Spending Too Much Time Away From Home
"He’s certainly not thrilled about all of her ‘extracurricular activities and spending a lot of time working on her store, Envy,” the insider continued. “He’d prefer her cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids. He takes the traditional approach when it comes to marriage and expects her to be the average housewife.”
In February, ahead of the premiere of the 11th season of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Melissa opened up about the challenges she and Joe were facing in their relationship.
Melissa Gorga Believes She And Joe Are A 'Great Couple'
“He likes things to stay the same. I’ve been with him since I was 24 years old. So I’ve changed and I feel like this is a scary part of marriage. Either you’re going to grow together or you’re going to grow apart. And I think we’re fighting really hard to grow together,” she toldUs Weeklyat the time. “This season, it’s very raw. It’s very real. It’s very different this season for Joe and I. … We’ve done very good for 11 years. We’re a great couple.”
Melissa Gorga And Joe Gorga Continue To 'Stand Strong'
Despite the hardships they've faced in recent months, Melissa went on to say that she and Joe have remained dedicated to making their marriage work.
“We try really hard. We fight really hard for our family and it’s not easy to be on reality TV for 11 years and still stand strong,” she stated.
